Demko injured again… |
To the surprise of absolutely no one. Someone needs to do stats between him and Salo now. I really didn't think we'd have another player who's so snake bitten by injuries. |
Welp ... Demko lasted a little longer than I predicted. |

Well this should really help the tank :troll: |
Watch aqua increase ticket prices next season lol. |
At least Demko’s contract only counts toward our cap for less than half a season on average… and it’s short. Boeser though good god, 19 games without a goal is fucking crazy for a first liner with PP time. |
not to mention the contract we just gave him :failed: |
I had this discussion with a friend before and we both agree Boeser is the type of player who plays his best in the important games. Problem is, this season is a bust and we're nowhere near the playoffs so.... yeah. He sure seems to be struggling a lot more than usual though. Just a really bad stretch for him. |
Couple friends of mine won pair of Canucks tickets during xmas parties from work. They all declined and chose other prizes. lol. Makes you wonder how long before corporate pull the plug on season tickets. I think majority of seats are probably corporate write offs. |
I'm happy Demko is hurt, if he's healthy it will hurt the tank. Now with him hurt there is no way they are going to go on a late season run like they normally do., The big question is how long he's going to be out. |
Well..... Looks like Sherwood is injured. “He’s trying to go through something and my gut says it could be a week to three weeks probably so it doesn’t look promising,” Foote said. Like people were saying, just trade him before shit like this happens and his value goes to zero. Stupid Canucks always waiting... |
The Official 2025/2026 Canucks & NHL Thread Your thoughts on these comments from Halford and Brough about the Canucks? https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/video/h...their-fanbase/ This hybrid rebuild won't work in my opinion. Keeping core veterans that are according to Halford could be "negative" assets does not help the Canucks rebuild properly. Petey is absolutely 100 percent not a mentor to help young players develop their game. He is a lazy, half effort, overpaid player at $11.6 million per season. I figure that Petey would put more effort gaming at home to level up in a video game, even if the gaming is the night before a team practice the next day. LUL Who in their right mind would want Petey to be a "mentor" for the next group of young players to play for the Canucks??? He can be considered a negative asset. The big problem is that Petey has a no movement clause in his contract. Allvin cannot get rid of Petey unless EP40 agrees to waive his NMC. I have never seen a Canuck be so damn lazy, and unprofessional, after getting his big contract, his big bag. Embarassing to say the least. You wonder if Hughes got tired of EP40's half-ass effort every game and decided to tell Allvin that he doesn't want to sign a contract extension partly because of Petey. Petey sucks. Boeser sucks. DeBrusk sucks. Kane? The brother sucks too. Demko is injury prone. There are very few veteran players on the team who have trade value now. Garland? Sherwood? |
How EP40 has fallen it's crazy. He was at one point our hope. Of course that got eclipsed by Hughes, but damn |
I agree with pasta. In no way is EP40 mature enough to be a mentor. He is a lonewolf, doesn't join with the team when they hang out, talented but lazy as heck. Thinking his talent will carry him the rest of his career. If you want to teach the young kids how to get the most money out of the Canucks then EP40 is your man. lol. |
Totally agree, EP40 should not be a mentor at all, jesus christ listening to him during interviews even pisses me off, no emotion, he acts like he could care less, just going through the motions. I'd say the only reason to keep him around is that if we draft a decent winger or wingers, perhaps they would do well playing on a line with him for their offensive growth, sans any actual mentorship. |
EP40 making headlines again.... Looks like Canucks willing to listen to trading EP40. EP40 new city and fresh start will be good for him and the Canucks. |
Eight straight losses and counting for the team. Go Team Tank!!! LUL Tank for the first overall pick in the draft. Tank for Gavin McKenna? https://www.nhl.com/news/gavin-mcken...0this%20season. |
Why wouldn't the Canucks be listening... that's not the issue though is it? Who the fuck is going to take that salary and why the fuck would he waive his NTC unless they make him absolutely miserable here. I don't think McKenna is the first pick anymore. Only played good against shit teams at the WJC. Might be Stenberg? That would just feed all the "NOT ANUDER SWEDE" goofs though. |
EP40 is definitely on the Rutherford and Allvin regime so they have to bear the failure of this one. They didn't have the cahouns to trade him before the NTC kicked in. They may have to eat some salary to make a trade remotely interesting for another team. EP40 laughing all the way to his influencer wifey and man cave of a gaming room. |
Giving EP40 lack of maturity, I can see that happen. He is getting his pay whether he gets 100 points or gets 10 points. He can literally just play games to the wee hours in the morning if he wants to. What can the Canucks really do? The team is going into rebuild mode... no reason or pressure to perform. Just living the good life. lol lets say they are able to unload EP40 with no retention. JR has probably good relationship with Crosby. Sign him for the rebuild and mentorship the young kids? |
Lol any trade ideas involving Crosby coming here are a total pipedream. Will NEVER happen. |
Hahaha if you're Crosby on the eastern seaboard and close to home/biggest cities in North America why the fuck would you go to pisswater Vancouver to get raked over the coals every night by bitchy media have crazy travel schedules and uproot your entire life to spend you last years getting pounded by other teams. Good god. |
Haven't watched any games this month, but saw clip of ep40 interview last night and he does sound pretty miserable. Aside from Garland and Demko who have come out to say they're committed to the team, I think everyone else should be open to leaving. |
