I just got some while driving through Mission this afternoon. Not impressed. I then bought some at the Maple Ridge location thinking it might have been a bad batch.
Yeah, the second batch was the same. Not going back. McDonalds has spoiled me, lol.

The Whopper Jr. meal deal with the coupon is a pretty good deal. I had the nuggets today and it was pretty good...... might have been the McD's Sweet Chili sauce I dipped the shit into that made it alright.

That flavor is gross. My mom buys it all the time when they have that deal. Nobody touches it and it goes to waste.
Which one? I'm assuming the mint.
When I was a kid living in the DTES getting ice cream of any kind was like we won the lottery. When you have very little, even mint chocolate chip ice cream was a piece of heaven. What did we do to deserve this?
Nuff said.............

I just don't like it. However, I like those Andes or After Eight mint chocolates. It's weird. Maybe I don't like the fact that the ice cream version is too sweet.
I love being a Shoppers Optimum card holder (Shoppers Drug Mart). I receive customized deals from them via e-mail. This coming week's deals. 800 points for any 4L milk and $1.99 for any one dozen eggs. For the eggs, I get the most expensive ones, like the Omega 3 large eggs regular price of $3.99. You can use these coupons multiple times. I load up for the month, since the eggs are good for about a month. Every week, I get new deals. Some are good, while others suck, but hey, that's the way the cookie crumbles.
BTW, sign up is free. I have about 300, 000 points. That's a couple hundred dollars worth. They even have spend your points events, where your points go further, as well as, earn 20X's point events.
Over the years, I've spent points on getting gaming consoles and games. Saving up now for that skookum walker, LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL.

"free" cineplex movie pass with the purchase of marked coca-cola products. Did this sort of promotion when they did it with general mills cereal, usually went for the 2 for $6 deals and eventually ended up with 2 dozen boxes for cheerios.
Shoppers is having a 2x12 coke/sprite sale for $6.99, good deal overall to stack up on soda and receive free movie passes at the same time.

fuck i always miss the safeway deals...went last night and they were all out of ice cream
The new Shoppers e-mail coupons state for one time use only, but they're not.
I had "Any Dozen Eggs for $1.60" coupon sent to me a couple of weeks ago and I used them at least three times without any issues. This week's deals were lame, though.
My question is, does everybody get the same weekly deals or are they really customized?
Any RS members have or use the 7-11 app?
I used to get "Free Friday" deals every week for months. I haven't had any deals show up on app for the last two weeks.
Only the usual Super big gulp for 99¢, two for one deals, Upgrade Tuesday deals, etc.
On a side note, I've been using my Belly card for free stuff. That deal was cool when they allowed you to scan multiple times to get points, but they put an end to that pretty quickly, lol.

Just purchased my third dozen Omega 3 eggs for $1.30 at Shoppers Drug Mart using the weekly coupons. $1.30 for any dozen eggs is a bargain.
Anyway............ unless you own a restaurant and need lots of eggs, this is a pretty good deal. I did it on the way back from dropping off wife, so no loss of spare time. Need to use all the spare time I gain to make more money, LOLOLOLOL.

Was referring to sierra trading post lol. - They have great deals, but shipping and some items only to States (so PO BOX), kind of kills it.
But Marks has free shipping over 50bucks. I checked the items I wanted first at the marks that had the HH stuff, then went back home, stacked them.
Unfortunately, you couldn't add the 10 off 50 coupon, but the 10% email sign up was a better one anyways.
Got the AR400 HH rain gear (jacket and bib) for about 220 before tax. A steal IMO. Plus other sales such as T-Max hoodies make some items a fantastic deal.

Anyway, driving to the Coquitlam location is something I wouldn't do, but they are opening up locations near Metrotown and Robson Street. Pretty good deal for decent food. Not sure how long the promo is going on for.
That is a pretty good deal.
For White Spot you have to buy a $50 GC to get $10 free.
Apparently they have a location in Steveston.
Their menu looks decent. I think I am going to have to buy myself a GC
Just looked at their hours and only open for breakfast and late lunch.

^^avoid the Cora's on steveston in Ironwood. That place has horrible quality of food. Totally different standards from the other ones.
edit: To share my experience, I ordered a burger with a patty that was like 1cm thick and it tasted like the one that they made in my high school cafeteria. My co-worker found a hair in her soup also lol

Just in case you guys missed it.................. Just kidding, lol.
Dozen large size eggs are two for three bucks at Safeway. The ones I got at the Commercial location were more like X Large, and they were prepared for frugal Asians, as there must have been 20+ cases on the floor in front of dairy cooler. Not sure if it's a weekly deal or a three day deal.
This week at Safeway, milk is (2) two litre milk for 4 bucks. That's a buck a litre. I just wish they do the choco milk for that price. They used to, not that long ago.
So, skim, 1%, 2% and whole milk (okay, homo milk, lol).

Add minimum of $50 in gift cards to your cart.
Go to checkout page
Add promo code: "0316GIFTCA" and apply to order

There was still a good 15~20dozens when I left today around noon.

Best before dates on food will be fresh until this date; however, it doesn't necessary go bad after this date.

Lol for some food. I once bought a 4L jug of milk from walmart. It sat in the fridge unopened super cold 7 days past the best before date. Me, being the cheap ass that I am decided screw it I'll chug as much milk as I can and throw out the rest, I even smelt it and didn't even have a smell. Plus T&T stores their milk in that open fridge style setup so unlike pretty much every other Super Market. Shit just ain't cold enough imo.

Damn, waited for this day. In US, it's dollar days all year long........ mind you exchange rate is like......... yeah, so this is a smoking deal. Now if only McD's had freestyle machines.
AND, so long 7-Eleven and your watered down Big Gulps..........even though your 7th cup deal is pretty good (make 7th cup the biggest size Slurpee).
BBQ pork on sale at Price Smart. $3.99/lb. I went to Save On Foods at Bentall Centre yesterday and they matched the price. I m at the Price Smart at Metrotown right now and holy crap, why would anyone go to T&T or any other Asian market? This place is awesome. Lots of free underground parking. It's like T&T on steroids. The place is fairly new and very clean. Walk by seafood department and it doesn't smell like it does at Chong Lee. Really good bento and Chinese dishes. And, the Dim Sum!
I think I just found my go to place for anything Asian.
Damn, 7-Eleven has double stars promo on this long weekend. I purchased three cookies for $1.79 plus taxes along with a double big gulp and the drink ended up being free. Each cookie normally gets you a star. This weekend, including Victoria Day, they're worth two stars. Three of them gets you 6 plus the drink gets you another two stars, lol. Weird thing is, I only got one star for the drink. Anyway, you need to download the app. I always scan my Belly app when I'm at 7-Eleven, so another bonus. If you are into Slurpees they're also part of the star promo.
Did any of that make any sense?
Gerbs
05-21-2016, 03:05 PM
I don' get it ^
Okay......... then. 7-Eleven has this app. Every time you buy a drink, whether it be a fountain drink, coffee, or Slurpee, you get the cashier to scan your app. Each drink is equivalent to one star. When you reach 7 stars, you get a free drink. They started to award stars for other items over the years, such as kabobs, pizza and cookies. Once in a while, they have promos like double stars. This long weekend happens to be one of those double star promotions.
Other times, they have freebies. Last week or maybe it was two weeks ago, they had free bag of chips. Other promos I've taken advantage of were free bottled pop, Coffee Crisp bars (regular size), Oh Henry bars, etc. All free for just happing the app on your smartphone. Sign up is free. In fact, they give you a freebie when you sign up. A sandwich or something like that. Other promos include deals on their deli products, like 2 for 1 deals. The app tells you what deals are on for that day/week/month.
Hope I explained it a little better this time around.
I posted this for others............ I know you get it.................... yes? Hee hee, hue hue, pew pew.
Just had some BBQ pork for dinner........ wow, not bad. It's actually really good.

I'd say that was a good investment. Although, I don't like zucchini, the rest of the family and neighbours do. So far, two dozen of these puppies and more on the way. The plant grows like it was a weed. Just daily watering and in a planter that is above ground. I also have a blackberry bush that is crammed with juicy berries. Raspberries, now out of season, were out of this world, sweet and delicious. I've got neighbours coming over to garden in my back yard, lol. Garden gets nothing but sun from dawn till dusk.
Vegetable garden is a must if you're truly frugal.
Damn, after cutting back some leaves, and these leaves are huge, I found a few more zucchinis on steroids. One of them is over 20 inches long. Neighbour, who I gave a few to yesterday, baked zucchini loaf - Italian style. Oh my god, it's so good right out of the oven. Sprinkled with icing sugar, too. I hate zucchini, but the loaf........... my god. It's food from the heavens, lol.

I am incredibly jealous. Growing up in North Burnaby we had a huge lot and my dad took over at least a third of the backyard as a garden. In addition to the garden we had 4 fruit trees. We grew everything! I was about 7 before I found out people bought veggies. Long before the hipsters started doing it we canned and froze our summer bounty for winter time.
Sun Rype Blue Label Apple Juice on sale at Superstore for 88 lucky cents each. Limit of 6, but at that price, I'm going back and forth, lol. Good till Feb of 17. Blue label, so legendary. BC goodness. At least I hope so.
BBQ Pork on a sale at Price Smart again (until Thursday) $3.99/lb. I just thawed out and cooked the last of the ones I got during the last sale. Freezing did not affect the quality at all. Char Siu Dow Fu, FTMFW!
Anyway, the location at Metrotown had a few manager's special, deals. Kasugai (Made in Japan) rice cracker coated peanuts for 99 cents a bag! Damn good price. Soy sauce flavour only, but damn are those things good.

Went to Wholesale Club on Royal Oak and Kingsway. I haven't gone for quite some time, so decided to go today.
If you love corn, they are 25 cents each. US Bicolour with husks on. They had a tray for husks. I just peeled those suckers in no time flat. They were very fresh and on ice.
Got the usual shit from there, like Freybe's pepperoni sticks. They had some Oasis bottles of mango juice at half price - need to buy a flat of it.

Didn't even know that place still existed. I haven't been that neck of the woods in a while.
Rona on Kingsway near Knight is having a clearance sale. Most things are 40 to 50 % off.
Rent went up and they're going to close for good. Another case of land owner raising rent to get tenants out. Probably gonna develop the property.
Anyway, got a whole bunch of stuff. Going back with truck for some mouldings. They're 60% off.
I think I saw smoothie there..............

October 30th, I believe, so whatever is left (garbage) will be 70% off or more, lol.
gonna wait till then.
I was there again at around 3:30 pm. Still lots of stuff left. I saw one asian lady with her daughter struggling to load a brand new, Weber portable BBQ into their CRV. 40% off, so ended up being around 90 bucks with taxes.
Chemicals were 70% off. I got painting supplies and some TSP, Ramset nails, T-50 staples, etc. Basically stuff you always need that won't go bad, like glues, paints, etc.
Flip, Toro snow blowers, ftmfw! (inside joke).
I picked up a few mending plates - super sharp. Going to put them at the top of the perimeter fence to keep those fucking squirrels and racoons off the property. They'll be in for a surprise. Ouch!

Rona was picked pretty dry.
The BBQs that were left were sterling brand at 40% off. Even then, You can usually get great deals on webers, etc, when fall hits.
It's worth checking out if you need minor things, but it was mostly a gong-show on Saturday. Idiots have no concept of following parking rules.
Worth checking out on a weekday, for paint, maybe misc things, if it's along your way. Otherwise, I wouldn't go out of my way for it.
Long weekend, which means double star points at 7 Eleven starting today till end of Monday.

Sterling is a good brand. Made in Canada and I think they are the same as Broil King.
Had no issues using it.
When I went last week, there was a fair amount of lumber left. Bigger ones, like 2x10's, 2x12's and 4x4's. Lots of roofing material and concrete pavers, although they were getting low, too. Rebars and stuff most asians wouldn't know what to do with, lol.
Nine Inch Nails, ftw!......... yeah, got some of that for garden ties.
7 Eleven freebie Friday today. Free Big Cone ice cream. Basically a Drumstick, but made by Breyers. You need the app, of course, but they're pretty good.

Definitely shopping at second hand stores and buying second hand cars really helps with keeping costs down!
Today is "Name your Price" Slurpee Day. You pay whatever you want for a Slurpee. 50¢ minimum for a large Slurpee. 100% goes toward Food Banks Canada. Every dollar donated provides $3.00 in meals.
SO, you cheap asses, here's your opportunity to give while saving. Having said that, this cheap ass Asian is going to pay double what a Slurpee is worth and not get one, because as a diabetic, one of those will put me in a coma, LOL.
I look at it as saving on giving. Just like Red Cross Canada recently sent me mail telling me my donation dollars are worth 6.5 times normal. Hell yeah, what a deal. I donated right away.
So, donating 100 dollars is like donating 650 dollars. The government has an agreement with the Red Cross. I believe it is only for previous donors and expires soon (as in tomorrow?). Not sure why I haven't posted it on RS. I believe RS members can make a difference.
Anyway, check out the link below. Instead of buying 6 iPhones for your dog, you can help out so many people in need.
Other Ways to Donate - Canadian Red Cross (http://www.redcross.ca/donate/other-ways-to-donate)
^Sadly, this shitty weather is not slurpee weather :QQ:
^when i was in my teens, every type of weather was slurpee weather.
I just got a Big Gulp (Diet Coke) instead of a Slurpee and donated 5 bucks. They scanned it as a Slurpee. Get this, I got taxed on the five bucks, gulololol.
Damn, Long and McQuade is having a huge sale. Two days only and only at the Terminal Avenue location. Place is jam packed. If you're a DJ or into pro audio, you need to be here.

Air China inflight service is average. Food is garbage compared to other carriers. If you have to transit at PEK, it's a total fucking dumpster of an airport. I remember having to walk around, not being able to find a decent place to eat, and the only Starbucks doesn't have fucking ice in the middle of summer while everyone sweating like pigs. And the airport wifi service is almost impossible to understand. Couldn't even access my gmail to grab my digital lounge pass so I was loitering around the waiting area sweating like a peasant. Would never connect at PEK ever again.

its for the user and 5 other users ( total 6) which if 5 other users want to get in on it its basically $30/person per year (calculating that each person pays for 2 months).
Sadly there isn't a pay by the year option as of yet but if it does happen I'm sure it'll be cheaper.

No Frills is not a low budget store. They are a regular store owned by Superstore.
Due to the fact that there are no stores close to me I usually try to get Walmart to price match if they have the same item.
In this case Walmart does not carry the box of 65 so I will have to buy it from No Frills when I am working in Vancouver. Or I can check if Superstore carries the same product.

Yup........ and since they got on to the PC Plus points, I go there more often.
3X the points using my World Elite Mastercard, ftmfw!
I also buy gift cards at Loblaws locations using my World Elite, 'cause 3X's the points. More points than if I had purchased using the same card at places like McD's, Best Buy, Bed Bath & Beyond, The Bay, Home Depot, etc. etc. etc.
Over $3000.00 worth of points earned since they introduced PC Plus points. I also bank with PC. I would go solely with them if they had at least one real bank location in each municipality. Had to open up a Van City account to do banking at a real location.
Anyway........................... damn, those Cleveland "XXXXXXX" messin' with the Blue Jays (need to be politically correct). Ah what the hell, "Those god damned Indians." And their chief............. Chief Wahoo! Who isn't a real chief, 'cause he only has one feather, like wtf people?

McDonald's tissue is my go to tissue in my car. I keep a stack of them in either my glove box or centre console.. I use them all the time.
I mainly use them because I feel bad throwing them away as in the drive through they always give me like 4-5 and I can't simply throw them away.
