Had the RE30's refinished in Rays Mag Blue, and got some blue Work open ended lug nuts. Still trying to find Center caps.

225/45/17 R-Comp tires next, and front camber arms to get the stance right. Currently running on 215/40's.

I don't really want to run spacers... aiming for a meaty, "tire-flush" functional ride height.

^^Love it!! Probably my favorite car right now on here. You should be fine without spacers. Looks like the fatter rubber will fill the wells in nicely. It looks fine as is IMO.

You can order caps from Mackin or any Rays/Volk dealer. They ain't cheap but you can get them in Mag Blue so you don't need to refinish them. I have ordered a few sets through Garage Five over the years. It completes the look as I hate center capless wheels.

Registered in STU this time around because of the lowering springs haha.

S4 does surprisingly good in autox and alot of that is credited towards the quattro system. Launch is almost perfect every time so it probably gains a second just from there. Mine has the sport diff option so torque vectoring helps you quite a bit in the long sweepers as well. Ill post a vid in the HPDE thread.

No new additions in the last little while. I have been enjoying the car as it is. If one of the original air struts goes out I would consider an aftermarket air suspension system. Otherwise I don’t want to do too much as it’s such a clean example and I want to keep it pretty original.

These could be the only LHD ITR left in Victoria. I know of another PY but haven't seen or heard of it for years so we dont know where it is. It apparently has an LS/VTEC motor.

Former OG RS member Amuro Ray owns this 2000 PY. It has about 152km, has seen plenty of track miles and has been heavily modified. It has been sitting outside for years but he will repair it one day. Needs motor rebuild, bushings etc. Kids and other projects are always competing for his time.

it's trashed though - guy told me he planned to fix it but nobody is putting this thing back together. I bought it for the brakes, rear suspension, full manual trans swap. There's some desirable M goodies too.

Deciding whether to keep the S52 - it should cover the cost of the whole car leaving me the goodies, but I'm also tempted to hang onto it. 63k kms. We're going to try to turn it over tomorrow and see what we see.

Yeah most CTR’s are dropping from 20’s to 18’s, most the RS guys are going from 19’s to 18’s and sometimes even 17’s for autox. These big wheels are heavy, poor ride quality, poor tire selection and are expensive to replace

The 20's are terrible IMO. New tires are super expensive but, more importantly, the lack of sidewall is anxiety-inducing, especially on the crappy roads we have here in the GTA. Only been dailying my CTR for a few days but I've already had some "butt pucker" moments.

Can't wait for winter so I can get a nice set of 18s with 40 or 45-height tires. The one advantage of living in Toronto is that I run winters from November-April so it makes sense to buy nice rims!

I honestly have lost interest in modern M cars because they are way to porky and cannot lay down the power effectively ( especially the F10 M5). I was considering getting an 2015/6 E80 M4 as a DD because they have depreciated a fair amount for a low km car. However, when I drove one, it was powerful, but felt pretty huge. I think the best part of the M2 is the sheer small size, N55 power delivery, and the way it puts the power to the ground. Just awesome. I would say the M2 is the son of the E46 M3.

anyone considering getting one, just do it, feels and drives like no other current modern performance car. the M2 has such a unique character, it is hard to explain till you drive it.

The F80's feel way more dramatic though. The way boost comes on is like nothing..nothing..EVERYTHING all at once but I agree not ideal in terms of usability.

It will be interesting to see the M2 Competition and how the S55 affects the driving experience.

I have a friend who has bought a 997 Turbo S, Macan, and Panamera from Porsche Vancouver and he still had to pay a $40K premium to get a highly sought after GT3......I wish Mclaren would make even a cheaper version of the 540 to retail in $200k range to go toe to toe with the GT3

Mr Money does ask a valid question. 2000kms is the first service where they change the oil to a different viscosity. On the first service, they also turn "on" the launch control feature. On the M2 forums, there are people on both sides of the importance of the break in period. Regardless, NKC One's trip seems like quite the awesome experience!

Break-in is over-rated... think about it... you drive even 5 minutes at 3,000rpm... your engine has spun around completely 15,000 times already just in that time.

If it gon break, it gon break. Way more improtant just to let the car warm up a bit before ripping it.

BMW knows what it's doing, won't set up customers for failure like that.

Haha I'd like to think you'd get tired of neutral bombing/clutch dumping Mazda2's after the first 5 times and not that many cars actually get abused... but, then again, I might be giving too much credit to the type of guy who works at the docks parking cars all day long every day.

Break-in is over-rated... think about it... you drive even 5 minutes at 3,000rpm... your engine has spun around completely 15,000 times already just in that time.

sure the motor will be fine, but it's the other stuff

Normally the SVT don’t come up often. Ever since the focus ST/RS came out they’ve come into a bit of a resurgence. Finding a clean, low mileage non accident 2 owner car is damn near impossible. I missed one on the island about 4 years ago and regretted not buying it.
