There are a couple of articles talking about whether this GM team will extend a 2nd year to Bruce Boudreau as coach. Apparently, Aquaman signed him as coach for 1 year with a 2nd year as option (not hired by this GM team).

Is that just click bait? If there was any more obvious conclusion, at least to me ... of course you bring him back for a year and then consider offering an extension sometime in the middle of next season if he continues to have this kind of winning percentage.

Whether we make it or not, I've been really enjoying Boudreau Canucks hockey and other than bubble playoffs... There really hasn't been much to cheer about in recent years. Truth it was looking pretty ugly for a while. Right now he can quit reasonably finish with 30 goals and 70 points, pretty damn good for that extended terrible start. Bo with 30 goals, nice! Miller hitting 100 points is doable as well. Also Huggie Bear will easily hit 60 points I mean when was the last time a Canucks defender hit 60? if ever or even 50? Small victories but it's nice to see none the less.

Like others have mentioned just nice to see the way the team is playing both the success they've had and just the style of play. Let's see how this season pans out I mean yea there's still a chance and quite frankly I would feel better about having a real shot if we didn't have to leap over Vegas and LA. If it was just leaping LA it very well could be doable but this is sports and you never know till you know it's what makes watching so fun.

Im actually pretty sad that the Canucks will miss the playoffs. Especially since we all witnessed the Blues going from basement to Cup Champs in a single season not to long ago. I was actually pretty confident that the Canucks could pull this off and make the playoffs. Under Bruce the Canucks are actually a Top 10 Team points % wise. Guy Lafleur is one of those early hockey memories for me, and not because of his legendary play or anything (most of which came before my time). I remember him coming out of retirement, seeing how different he looked and played, and I started to understand hockey was played before my time, that it was different, and that players eventually get old. It kinda made me think about the game itself. I would have my own legends and era of the game. Eventually I would imagine how the game would evolve in my life time, how futuristic hockey cards would get (ie like the ST TNG holographic projection of Tasha Yar). So Guy helped trigger those thought processes in me.

The first tie breaker is ROW (right out wins) basically wins in regulation and OT not shootout, so they would of tied in that tie breaker and i assume the next tie breaker was head to head record which Vegas may of had the edge so thats probably why Dallas didnt clinch yet
