my view in hk from my room is some BIG TALL ASS BUILDING.. it used to be sea view... but of course not as nice as yours... u are just lucky.

btw.. that big ass building is a court where TVB always use the outside as a shooting area for the law and police drama series.. hehe..

pizzaMR2 05-31-2005 01:24 AM

good times!

Thanks I'll post more interesting ones soon (i.e seeing Volks wheels on crapped out 10 yr old mini vans or guys in a 3 piece suit and dress shoes on a scooter LOL)
how are the new students this yr? :)
Yea it's at the Kowloon station but it's the one next to the one that you typed. I actually hate it being the middle of no where and to change MTR stations is pretty far at the Hong Kong Station and Central station!
And no, that tv in my room's not plasma :p

Thats life man, daily transportation, HK doesn't have 1/4 of the motorcycles other asian cities have, I think Taiwan has like 25million scooters, almost one for everyone on the island !

http://www.all-hong-kong-hotels.com/...ls_mtr_map.jpg

When I stayed there my hotel was in North Point wasn't to bad but a lil far out of the way, just a longer MTR comute to wherever you want to go

dchoi904 06-01-2005 03:34 AM

that MTR map is old !
Disney Land station is on the new ones !

bbwarrior 06-01-2005 06:12 AM

For those that don't know, the flat that he's staying at right now costs in the neighborhood of HK 20,000 per feet. CAD/HKD exchange rate is at approx 6.20 right now....you do the math

SlowRider 06-01-2005 06:24 AM

so your saying ...if it is 900 squarefeet that place is worth 18,000,000 18 million ??

if it is 500squarefeet it is 10 million... ??

i find that hard to beleieve....if it is yen ,,then u have to convert to canadian ...not sure what that would bring the cost to...but still sounds crazy expensive...

RX Titus 06-01-2005 07:25 AM

I agree it does sound crazy expensive.
I think the HK government is meddling way too much with the economy here....

I've also noticed today even though HK is dirty and dusty as hell, and it's people so busy, I still see almost every car sparkling clean!

Grandmaster TSE 06-01-2005 09:23 AM

i'll be in HK next week :D

civic-stiz 06-01-2005 10:46 AM

Awesome view man. Good luck to you over there.

I remember looking up at that super big building in pic 2 and 3 when it was being built and my legs felt weak it was so huge haha.

Hyde 06-01-2005 10:58 AM

You need to hire a bun bun. :p

KO7 06-01-2005 01:40 PM

I just showed my dad the pics, and he almost reeled backwards at how much it must have cost to get that kind of view.

lol, then he'll forget how to do anything, the kids in HK don't know how to do shit, I swear

RX Titus 06-02-2005 02:10 AM

Watch me scratch my head when I see a lawn mower when I come to vancouver again :D
I had my first initiation today by pushing the first person at the MTR today (no, I don't mean push as in push them onto the train tacks :p )LOL
I see this woman glancing at me out of the corner of her eye and then put her head down and tried to cut in front of me in the escalator but I abandoned all notions of canuck civility and just pushed her back out of the way
Oh and I also discovered that no matter how hot it is, it's always good to carry a jacket in case you go inside a mall. I almost froze to death the other day at a resturant lol
I still haven't seen a G35 yet in HK.... are they designated as a Nissan Skyline here?

hk20000 06-02-2005 03:13 AM

me in HK as well.... I have an ocean view.... in frigging Tuen Mun. Every squarefoot of my house costs about 1/5th of yours.... anyway oh man if your relatives are pimp go sneak out in their car (be it Lamborghini, aston martin, Jag, Ferrari or Bentley - they can't have anything cheaper living where you live) and drive right up Dai Mo Shan it's like initial D ver. HK.

Gh0stRider 06-02-2005 06:29 AM

awesome nite pic

omigulay 06-02-2005 06:49 AM

hk is all dirty cuz of all the mainlanders..before 1997, hong kong was not too bad, now it's worst than ever..

man looking at that MTR map brings back so much memories lol. I used to live in tsuen wan.. and went to school in kowloon, got off at prince edward lol

gilligan 06-02-2005 07:49 PM

for us whiteys, how much would that view cost?

placebo 06-02-2005 11:16 PM

Assuming the place is 900sq ft.

900 sq ft X HKD $20,000 = HKD $18,000,000

18,000,000.00 HKD = 2,883,350.51 CAD

1 HKD = 0.160186 CAD
1 CAD = 6.24274 HKD

Scary thing is 2.8 million HKD is considered average - normal. Have at least a whole list of friends that live in over 5 million dollar appartments in HK
