^ Bacchanal Buffet at Caesar's

I didn't see what was so special about it either.

My favourite was the one inside Aria "The Buffet" lol original...

$75-$100 isn't worth the hassle of driving down to Bellingham and chancing it with Allegiant. This is coming from a Nexus pass holder

I'm not the biggest buffet fan, but after eating at a few at the higher end casinos, including twice at Ceasars bacchanal over the past few years, I would also agree that the buffet at Aria is the best. For the price, it is really hard to beat.

Now I want 'secret' pizza from Cosmo! Best late night/morning snack hands down.

Generally, I'd agree. However, if there's 4 or 5 of you on the same flight, that's $300 saved. Might be worth it if you've got more than just 1 or 2 people.

I agree that they do nickel and dime you for everything, but that seems to be the general direction that all airlines are taking, and even after the fees, they're still cheaper.

I just came back from Vegas 2 weeks ago, and went to the buffet at Caesar's

I went 3 or 4 years ago when it first opened, and it was AMAZING. Now, the prices are similar but the selection and quality has definitely decreased a lot. I would call it somewhat disappointing and not out of the ordinary.

!LittleDragon 04-23-2017 03:44 PM

What's new in Vegas these days? Was going there 2-4 times a year from 2001-2015... got so bored of it so I haven't gone back since. My last few trips were only to get some sunshine and rent a fun car. Stayed out at Red Rock and barely spent time on the strip. It's become noticeably more douchey there.

I did book a flight there for mid May and an AMG C63 lined up from Hertz. Not sure if I should stay on the strip or not.

mikemhg 04-24-2017 09:07 AM

My girlfriend and I are going down to May Long.

We're planning on renting a car and driving to the Grand Canyon and such. We're not gamblers or any of that crap, so we're pretty much looking for the hotels with the nicest pools to grab a tan at.

Anyone have any recommendations in terms of the pool? I heard Mandalay Bay is good, Hard Rock, anything else or better?

bigzz786786 04-24-2017 04:54 PM

^cosmo is good, they have two pools on different sides of the hotel which is great becauese youll always have a pool close to where your room is. Its also a newer hotel so the quality and amenities for the pool will be better. They also got this breakfast joint called Eggslut, best damn breakfast sandwiches ive ever had.

Lowered_Klass 04-24-2017 10:24 PM

I loved the pools at Aria.

They have a few, lots of palm trees, just a really nice spot to hang out and chill. I would definitely head back there if you are looking for a low key, lay by the pool holiday.

going in a couple weeks. Any good steak places? Doesn't have to be $100+ steaks but not hole in walls since it's fiancée's bday

I’ve tried Gordon Ramsay’s Steak (in Paris) as well as Del Friscos (off strip) in Vegas. Both were very good.

Gallagher’s is in NYNY I believe and is fairly good too (I haven’t been to the Vegas one but been to their restaurants in other cities)

I'm going back the beginning of June to play the WSOP Colossus event. I was suppose to be meeting my cousin from Calgary but he bailed so now just the three of us, me myself and I are going. :)

I don't even mind going by myself, can do whatever I want when I want. Anyone else there beginning of June?

I never fly Alegient but the price was to good to pass on, here's to hoping I don't get delayed more then a day on the way back as I need to be in Kelowna the following day for my sons tournament. I avoided watching the 60 minute special, I hope if there's an issue it's over quick life insurance is all paid up.

CivicBlues 04-17-2018 12:11 PM

LOL I watched that 60 Minutes special on Allegiant and it was brutal. They even devoted 2/3 of the hour to it. I flew with them back in 2006, sad to see how far they've come (or should I say gone).

I stayed at Aria a few years ago when they were pretty new. I remember staying at a corner junior suite and enjoyed their welcome snack left at the room... that welcome snack became a horror when I woke up 3AM to go to washroom to spot cockroaches crawling on the wall. It was horrifying to see cockroaches at a such a new supposedly 5 star hotel. When I complained at the front desk, they waived the resort fee.. and since then, I have never returned to Aria..

Lol. The pool facing aria got renovated within the last 3 years because it caught fire and burned in 2015.

I was staying in aria at the time. I'll post the pics I took later.

how was the colossus WSOP poker event? Planning to go vegas at the end of august. I saw that there was recommendations for steak places but I kind of don't want to hit up a gordon ramsay place. ANy other recommendations for steak that is around $50 a piece?

any other restaurant recommendations as well? nothing too crazy but im down to try almost anything :)

going to try eggslut even though I stayed at the cosmo twice before. hitting up secret pizza place for my third time and the wicked spoon buffet again for the third time.

staying at planet hollywood most likely for our short stay

Renthal 07-16-2018 09:14 PM

Gallaghers or Del Friscos were both pretty good when I went. It's been a while since I've been to them, but they're probably close to Mortons price wise so it might be out of budget. They're also chain restaurants if that makes a difference. I believe Gallaghers is in NYNY and Del Friscos is off strip. I haven't tried any others in Vegas other than those two and Gordon Ramsay's Steak.

Eggslut was pretty good - though it's a bit of a wait, and it's pricey for what it is. I wen there during Vegas' "slow period" and still had to wait 15 minutes to order. I've heard it's usually a lot longer. The "Slut" and a coffee cost me $15, and it's not very big. It's about the size of 1 1/2 baby food jars.

I asked awhile back ..earlier this year and we ended up going to this place
Joe's | Las Vegas on recommendation from wifes coworker. I thought it was great. Not really a true steakhouse but there steaks were fantastic. I'd say its like a Joe Fortes type of restaurant. I'd recommend trying the stone crab as well. I got the bone in filet mignon and it was melting in my mouth

I went to prime steakhouse at Bellagio. It was great!

Obsideon 07-18-2018 10:49 PM

^
I think I've suggested PRIME about 3 times in this thread already lol. It's the only steakhouse I been to (twice) in Vegas so I can't really compare but PRIME was legit.
Get a nice table overlooking the Bellagio fountain show for an extra romantic/special meal.
