Excaliber smells disgusting lol

HonestTea 04-10-2015 03:36 PM

Same with Monte Carlo

Lowered_Klass 04-10-2015 08:46 PM

I'm almost embarassed to admit... we ended up spending a good solid afternoon playing blackjack at the Excaliber. We were on our way to Mandalay Bay, but decided to grab a drink. Stopped at a table, and that was that.

Won a decent amount of money, and the drink waitresses were always there. I never had to wait for a new drink. It was awesome. We got completely shitfaced, which is how I chose to deal with the weird perfumey smell of Excaliber lol

blkgsr 04-11-2015 01:32 PM

my wife's down there with a bunch of girls for a stagget....i'm pissed for his we went to whistler and it fucking sucked, one of the guys chirped one of the strippers and made her leave, that was the highlight of the weekend. atleast it didn't cost me much money, stayed at our family cabin

apparently calvin harris called in sick for his day club today lol

they're doing guetta tonight and aoki tomorrow at wet republic

i'm still pissed i'm not there...been like 3 years and i love vegas

If anyone is looking to go to Vegas in May or June, there are some super cheap flights right now with Air Canada Rouge.

$310 all-in round-trip for non-stop flights both ways.

Oh yes how could I forget Excalibur, it's exceptionally bad because it's smoke AND in some parts of the casino even the faint barn smell of the horse stables (for the Tournament of Knights show) mixed together lol.

3klipze 04-16-2015 10:45 PM

Does it? I'm heading to over and staying at Monte Carlo early July. Found a pretty good flight+hotel from allegiant

It seems like they're spraying some type of perfume around the casino to mask the old and new cigarette smell. Went inside and left 5 minutes after.

Xu.Vi 04-17-2015 12:52 AM

Yep, they used a deodorizer. Few years back when I stayed at TI, there was this sour smell in my room so they had a technician bring in a deodorizer and sprayed the carpet again. Smells like shit -- but better than sour puke lmao. After that trip, I've only been looking at newer hotels because the smell is unbearable at times when walking into older hotels.

blkgsr 04-17-2015 07:49 AM

my wife stayed at the TI and said it was fine....they reno'd it recently i guess

Presto 04-17-2015 01:33 PM

Westjet is having a flight sale right now. I was about to score $315/pp Return (Nov), but my browser crapped out, and when I did the search again, the price went up 40 bucks per ticket for the flight there. So, I just purchased one-way from LAS to YVR. I'll be on the look out for the trip there.:)

punkwax 04-17-2015 01:57 PM

Cheapest return I can find is 390pp for my dates and the times aren't great.. should be cheaper in August!

I've paid $400 including stay at Treasure Island & Luxor before... $450 for MGM Signature wih a big 1 bedroom suite.. exchange rate sucks!

Obsideon 04-17-2015 09:40 PM

Never again will I stay at TI. The smell of the elevator is disgusting, smells like an old sweaty gym bag. One time I was trying to get back in to my room while pretty hammered, the smell of the elevator combined with my 3-cheese pizza pretty much made me hurl. :Puke:

Aria in my opinion is the best bang for the buck. Got an AUX plug for the TV and huge bathtub + seperate shower.

.....all this talk....makes me want to visit again.

Vale46Rossi 04-18-2015 03:05 AM

Just booked for 5 nights @ Aria in June...

Gonna be there for a small part of WSOP and also work...

$1450 including roundtrip.

Slifer 04-18-2015 11:30 AM

^Are we allowed to go to the WSOP events as a spectator?

Yup of course, tons of tables also tons of side events.

This is not the November 9 where its the final table of the main event.

I'm having a tough time spending that much for 2 ppl 3 nights lol

In fact, thats about the least expensive trip I can find at a nice hotel. I would fly Allegiant and book through Hotwire. Likely ARIA or Trump.. That does include luggage and premium seat selection.

For ~1600-1800 I can fly YVR, good flight times, upgraded room at Caesars/Aria/Encore etc. but does not include luggage.

Cannot believe how pricy it is to get to Vegas right now. Think I'll bide my time and see if there are better prices available closer to my travel date.

Edit: I was trying to avoid AC's 730AM flight home Sunday morning (wedding aniversary Sat night) by paying a premium for an afternoon flight.. turns out if I stay one more night and take the 730 Monday morning, it is less expensive. My sitters won't be happy but :considered:

$1628 for 2 ppl, 4 nights @ Vdara in a City Corner Suite through Expedia

This 800-square-foot suite boasts 270-degree views of Las Vegas. The bedroom has 1 king bed with a pillowtop mattress, while the separate living room includes 1 queen sofa bed and a 42-inch flat-panel HDTV. Wireless Internet access is complimentary. The kitchen is equipped with stainless-steel appliances, including a 4-burner stove, full-size refrigerator, and microwave. The dining table seats four. The bathroom features a soaking tub and separate shower. A washer and dryer are also included. All suites are smoke-free.
Edit 2: $1723 for a Luxury Suite at Palazzo through AC Vacations which includes access to Maple Leaf Lounge (free food & pre-drinks!), round trip ground transport + free VIP access to Tao Nightclub & Tao Beach. Also free transport to and from Laughlin if we want to check out old Vegas for a day. If the sitters agree to one more night, I think I'll book this one although I still feel it is obscenely expensive for Vegas. Meh, 10th anniversary so I want to kick it up a notch this time.

Slifer 04-19-2015 01:33 PM

Guys, please help me choose. Luxor, Excalibur or MGM Grand?

tastic 04-19-2015 01:47 PM

Wife and I usually stay at the MGM Grand. She likes the spa, I like the dead money at the tables late at night when the drunks that haven't picked up, empty out of the clubs adjacent to the poker room and sit down to play. And we both can't get enough of the food at Shibuya. Sake uni butter sauce...mmmmmm....

punkwax 04-19-2015 02:13 PM

MGM for sure out of those three.

Bender Unit 04-19-2015 02:30 PM

MGM Grand for sure.

HonestTea 04-19-2015 04:11 PM

Another vote for MGM Grand
