the shadows on the face are ugly.

not a fan of the pose either.

I tried to avoid that as much as possible with the space I had and and still going for the effect I wanted.

Thanks for the blunt C&C :)

good try on your first attempt,

shadows and bad pose will only be eliminated with time and experience.
b4 then, the photographer has whole lot other shit to worry
about because there are so many elements to work with.

also with studio, this is one type of photography where
the photog has to a lot relay on the gear... there is only so
much one can do with 1, 2, 3 or even 4 lights...

Horizon is really crooked, wherever it is...

Car Chick 04-17-2007 09:50 AM

greenland?
the horizon is crooked and the whitebalance is very blue/green...

cool snap, lucky for you that you got to see the beauty!!

smurf 04-17-2007 01:34 PM

how do i add depth?

Dennis, I think that creating a catchlight in her eyes would have helped this image add impact. The lashes are dramatic but the overall appeal of it I think is diminished with the lack of "umph" in the eyes. Fly hairs on the upper right corner are also kinda bothersome. JMHO

Playing with the curves, dodge the background a little

i took it at an angle.. had to, i had a damn seat by the wing, and half the window was foggy and frosted. Bad color because i only had a Canon SD450, and you know airline windows... not exactly squeeky clean and their dcouble layered. then i just ran it though a "quick fix" on corel.. lol i don't know how you guys do most of your stuff.. so still learning

this is what i had to work with, anyone want to fix it up so i can see what a more experienced person would do?

hehe cute.

would've been even better if the background wasn't so distracting, though.
