Set your WB to flourescent...or use an Expodisc or similar tool. A white Pringles lid works great.

Picture 2: I"m not fond of the lighting to be under your face for this one. The light does not make the photograph. This may be because you didn't have a stand to put it on and in that case you may want to find something higher to put it on.

Picture 3: The double shadow is caused by a lamp light from a garage or something? Your source light needs to be a little stronger to wash out the other shadow.

Sorry for the late reply.

I love looking at bug shots. Maybe it's because I never have the patience to take them myself. Haha.

I like the over all shot... but there is something that bothers me, and I can't figure out what... :S Is it the lighting maybe?

Ah, ok....that bokeh didn't seem right to me. Now I know why. Not shitting on the 24-105, but the bokeh didn't seem as smooth as a macro lens usually is.

Hmm... deja vu... I seem to remember someone posting spider webs... I just can't recall who...

I wanna get a good shot of the spider from the front. See how nasty they actually look hehe I'll definately need my macro for that one. Oh, and I see what you mean by the bokeh not being as smooth because I wasn't using a macro lens.
