^Oh yeah, they're gorgeous backgrounds... but that's exactly the problem, the focus is supposed to be on the couple.

MikesJo 09-27-2009 08:23 AM

I don't think they necessarily distract though. I've seen much worse. I think the backgrounds put on context where they are. A beautiful place I might add.

Love the third one - clone out the power lines and it's a winner!

Slo40 09-30-2009 06:50 AM

Clone??? I'm an editing noob, haven't gotten that advanced yet.

Just found out the local paper used one of my photos from the event for the front page - also found out my name is Tiffany Beckedorf... Pretty choked at the moment. Anyone else run into this before?

Soundy 09-30-2009 07:13 AM

I dunno... are you cute, Tiffany??

I'd contact the paper if I were you... tell them you're willing to settle out of court.

Slo40 09-30-2009 07:40 AM

I hope I'm cute with a nice rack ;)

Soundy 09-30-2009 08:12 AM

I dunno, there's a Tiffany Bergdorf on Crackbook, she seems to have a decent rack... she's in Atlanta tho, so I doubt it's your photo thief ;)

Cloning is when you copy an area of your image to add or remove something from another area.

I would be honoured if a newspaper printed my photo...with my permission. You have grounds to complain here. At least they credited the photo to you.

underscore 09-30-2009 09:32 AM

I'd say that paper owes you some $$$. Or at least credit.

Uh, I think the point is that they didn't... rather, they credited it to "Tiffany". Which quite possibly means that Tiffany submitted Slo40's photo as her own.

Slo40 09-30-2009 12:12 PM

Yea I wasn't after any money from them. I was fully aware that they were going to print one of my pics, but thought I was going to be given credit for my work.

Soundy 09-30-2009 12:35 PM

Ah, well, mighta just been an editorial error then.

Slo40 09-30-2009 04:02 PM

Got in contact with them and got it all smoothed out. In fact they are going to fix it next week and print even more pics with a new article. Now if only it was a real paper not just a local rag haha.
