I've played with it, and it's quite impressive, although I'm really liking the D4 right now. I don't have one of my own yet, so I haven't had a chance to really test it out. NPS members still get priority with delivery. We've ordered 50. Only 5 came, all with NPS members' names attached. :(

I jump down and climb back up, but if you walk towards the lighthouse about a minute there is a staircase that goes down to the beach. It's just that at semi high tides, the water line is higher than the beach there and prevents you from using it, even though the beach surrounding the gun is above the water line.

The tide looks low in that photo, there are times where the water comes pretty close to the shore.

A close encounter with a snake!! Ok, it was just a garden snake. I spotted it along the side of the trails during our nature walk to Crystal Falls, Pritchett Creek. I thought it was a little bit scary and cute at the same time. I wanted to bring him home. haha!

Well here's my attempt at the shot tonight. D700 + 14-24mm f2.8 @ f18. Lens Defraction really starting to set in. Used ISO 125 (-0.7ev from Base ISO of 200). If I could get a ND filter with ISO200 and larger fstop results should have been better!
