If so, how is it?

Of course people have it :)

And um... The touch screen controls for boost starts are pretty lame... And the new voices for some of the chars... Ugh, pretty awful :X

Actual gameplay's still as good as the N64 one though, maybe even better.

Razor Ramon HG 01-28-2007 08:45 AM

If my memory is correct, the tracks and everything are straight out of DKR 64.

GT-[R] 01-28-2007 03:38 PM

does anybody have an actual working diddy kong? ive downloaded it from 3 different sources, all 3 after conversion creates a 0KB file for the game source, ive been trying all afternoon

honda_h2o 01-28-2007 03:45 PM

GT-[R] 01-28-2007 03:49 PM

Use 2MB save.

It's not a bad game that you got, it's the way the patcher program runs the game through to make it work.

It's been confirmed to not work with any of the SuperCard Slot-2 cards.

danlee78 01-28-2007 05:00 PM

when i try to change DKR to thoe 2 files...the save file is 256kb but the game file is 0bytes... why is this?

MysticHomer 01-28-2007 05:11 PM

Like I said, this has been confirmed to not output properly (0 KB output) with the SC patcher.

You guys might want to switch to a Slot-1 flashcart if you want to play DKR so bad :/

Razor Ramon HG 01-28-2007 05:22 PM

Game sucks, straight port + extras of DKR 64.

mos_skeeto 01-28-2007 06:47 PM

0kb here too with the lite. Here's hoping that they will update it soon.

Sim City coming soon!!!?

http://www.siliconera.com/index.php/...port-to-japan/

Quote:

In the next few months Electronic Arts Japan is releasing three Nintendo DS titles designed for the reigon. Sim City DS is first and it is a remake of Sim City 3000 for Nintendo’s handheld with Will Wright on the screen to give player help messages. In Sim City DS players use the bottom touch screen to design the city while the top screen shows the upcoming metropolis. Theme Park DS lets DS owners design their own amusement park with the touch pen. You can pick mascots out, rides and food to make your dream park. Specifically for Japan is a game based off of the Dragon Zakura manga. It’s a brain training game similar to Brain Age, except its more geared towards trivia. There are 3,773 questions in the database not, including math questions, which the game makes on its own. This is a pretty strong line up from EA Japan and it’s bound to attract the “non gamer” audience that dug Brain Age and English Training DS. As of now Electronic Arts showed some English screens of Theme Park DS, which probably means it is going to get a release outside of Japan. Sim City DS is likely to come out too since the series is popular around the world.

Does the DS have the ability to do some basic pda functions? Address book and appointments?

Ultimate Mortal Kombat on the DS would be crazy! It'd be cool if they could port all the 2D MK games and put them on one cartridge. It'd satisfy my MK needs.

Don't think so.

I hope it doesn't suck like Zoo Tycoon did.

.

that's what i'm hoping for, but i think it's more likely that they'd port that crappy subzero sidescroller or one of the newer (and shittier) 3d fighters

The Anthology Series was the gayest excuse of a game. I really pray they don't make it that game.

Well, the last couple of Mortal Kombat games for the PS2 (Deadly Alliance/Deception), I enjoyed alot, but 3D on the DS would probably look very bad. I rather have 2D graphics then jagged and ugly 3D graphics.

Spore for the DS!!

Quote:

http://www.destructoid.com/spore-ds-confirmed--29574.phtml
“We have shifted and acquired resources and are attacking these successful platforms,” said EA CFO Warren Jenson, referring to Nintendo’s platforms.

My Sims will be coming to both the DS and the Wii, and SimCity will also be coming to the DS.

Formerly a PC-only release, a version of Spore will be heading to the DS. No release dates or other details were given outside of the confirmation of the upcoming games.

In the past, Spore creator and Maxis chief designer Will Wright had expressed interest in bringing Spore to the DS and other platforms.

Jenson also said that more EA Sports titles will be making their way to Nintendo platforms.

“In short, we are on it,” Jenson said regarding DS and Wii support.

During a Q&A session during the conference call, one analyst asked EA chairman and CEO Larry Probst if he is concerned if the strong-selling Wii turns out to be just a "fad."

Probst answered, “With regards to the Wii platform, at least initially, it seems like it’s expanding the overall market and expanding the demographic of users and people that purchase software, so we think that’s a good thing. We’ll have to see if that’s sustainable over time, but certainly [Nintendo’s] got off to a very encouraging start.”
