what additional hardware do i need? is it just the SC DS(ONE) + Kingston 1GB microSD that compc sells or do i need more.

That's it, but I really recommend against getting the SC DS(ONE) right now...

It's got a helluva lot more problems (currently) than the M3 or R4 or EZ Flash V...

Interesting, so M3 lite + Passcard3 + 1GB microSD from compc would be a better package to get?

Just get the M3 Lite (includes GBA) + flashing + 1GB MicroSD if you want the best of both worlds.

If you want the newer ones and just DS, get the R4 that COMPC has in stock right now. They don't have the M3 Simply yet.
