this is a totally different level from your character level so if you get level 10 for a thief and switch to a level 5 red mage, when you switch back to the thief he'll still be level 10 as for the battle adjustment, the number of battles indicate how many battles before you can start using they're abilites lets say you switched from a warrior to a black mage and it says 2 battles for adjustment that means the character won't be able to use black magic until 2 battles later |
So is the job system based on the one used in Tactics ? |
Anyone beat FF3 yet? I'm sooo pissed I spent like almost 2hrs finishing the crystal bosses, got to the final boss and got wiped out in 1 hit 9999 across the board. Lost 3 level's for each char and the 2hrs.... Btw I'm about 53/54 across the board. Anyone know what lvl you sould be to take on the boss? I think I'll stop playing FF3 for sometime now... |

my chars are only about lvl 13, and i played for about 4 hours... |
Level 10 and about less than 2 hours in. Anyways, how do I gain job skills? Like Monk's Chakra, etc. There's no real FAQ on it :( |
what are your classes for your party so far? mine are red mage warrior black mage white mage havent tried others yet still trying to learn the whole job thing but this game PWNS |

dragoon devout summoner viking level 47 level up in lake dohr or the underwater cave and equip lightning equipment best places color mages begin to get useless, i suggest changing one to geomancer..it fucking owns i believe job skills come with job levels, easiest way to obtain job levels is to go back to the starting of the game and fight those wussy ass monsters just block like 5-6 times in a row and kill it u should level up your job then rinse and repeat |
Ended up finishing the game yesterday with about 30 something hours of playtime. I helps if you have high job levels and stick to a specific job The party I used to finish the game was Knight Geomancer Ninja Devout My party's levels were about 60. I think my fav overall characters are Thief Dark Knight Devout Geomaner Bard is pretty good too it you get good skills. I mean you can auto haste your party each fight (very useful for bosses) I agree on Trip's comment. Color mages are pretty useless in the middle and end part of the game. If you do use a mage, you most likley should stick to Devout or even use a Sage because you can use the best of all worlds. Help that helps |
my party right now consists of warrior ninja sage sage/summoner swap my warrior is job lvl 99, does 9999 damage every round... fucking dope... i got creamed by the final boss last time, i leveled up to 60 now and gonna make another run... by the time i make it through the towers i should be around 63... strategy is im gonna put the ninja in back row and launch shruikens like mad lol |
Did you use the warrior advance skill? or is it just normal attack? I was going to go through the route of job leveling too but gave up after awhile lol. There's also a trick to the final boss. I don't want to spoil it too much for you, but I'm guessing you probably know what it is |
Just wonder if anyone is playing Club House Games with the all this FF3 Madness going around. |
Only game I play on that is online chess and checkers. I lost all games I played, LOL Anyways, I have a question for you FFIII pros. I have a bunch of elemental staffs like Fire Rods, Ice Staff and they have an ability like Blizzard when used, but I'm not sure how it works. I've tried equipping them and making my players learning the Blizzard spell, but they can't use it in battle. |

If they are equiped on your mage or other character..... When you are in a battle, select items and then scroll up. A menu of the staff/rod should show up. You can then use that chosen rod on 1 monster only. This will also yield unlimited uses during the battle. If they are not equiped on your mage or other character When it is your character's turn, select item and scroll all the way down and select/use the rod/staff. But the downside of this is that you are limits of how many times you can use the staff during a battle |
