you'll get used to it quick, when i did europe we were averaging something like 11 km a day with a 50lb pack, just make sure you get comfy shoes that you've broken in already (before you start the walkin)

I think there's a lesson here for all of us...ALWAYS carry a full complement of spare batteries...AAs, AAAs, 9 volts (you never know) and at least two spare ones for our watch!
