Outright banned...

I wonder how much of this has to do with the new semi-luxury waterfront developments that are going in there...

OffroadZuki 05-13-2008 01:39 PM

More like people are fucking idiots and leaving fires burning when they leave and the fire dept needing to be called to put them out, and idiots getting hurt and dumping tons of garbage from high school parties.

On another note, THANKS UPS :D

Sorry to be so bitter, but this is yet another nail in the coffin for fun in Victoria. Bowling, waterslides, fireworks ban for halloween, increasing traffic enforcement on fun roads, fire bans.. the options are shrinking. Not everyobdy wants to call the nightclubs their second home or play video games for hours on end...

/rant

Bowling is making it's return in langford next year.

I wanted to go. He kicks ass.

OffroadZuki 05-14-2008 08:10 AM

hmm...well I just became senior reporter...

ostampflee 05-14-2008 03:58 PM

So you have to work more and make less now?

OffroadZuki 05-14-2008 04:07 PM

Nope.

I'll make the same, but it looks better on a resume. I'm also changing beats (going from crime to city hall...that's not part of being a senior reporter, but that spot is coming open with the old SR leaving, and I want a change).

As for work...I don't know...I definitely won't be working more (right now doing 50+ hrs a week on a good week)...I will most likely end up working less as the city hall reporter.

I'll get fewer western Canadian/national bylines but it'll be more impressive when I look for a job that I'd handled two of the biggest/most prestigious beats while at my paper.

I suppose, but isn't that the point of having permits? What they should have done is made the system better, not just say fuckit and ruin it for the responsible campers. have firepit numbers.. if you don't put it out.. ticket. If you don't have a permit, big fine... I'd rather have the bylaw inspector come around to check my permit than not have a place to have a fire at all.

Nice tires! I was going to go from 17" to 18" but I will save for the wheels I want first.. the WRs will last the rest of the summer anyway.

stevo911_ 05-16-2008 11:26 PM

How to piss off emily in two easy steps:

1. Dial suspension to hard
2. Surprise her with a early morning drive to Port Renfrew
