Still trying to figure out insurance on this one.

You tell them it was an act of god not my fault

Drive safe people. Even a pro driver with his own car can loose it..

Simple pro stock burnout go wrong at a charity event.

^^^ What on earth was that guy thinking? Doing a rolling burnout on an unprepped street with a pro stock funny car. stupid, just plain stupid. Such a sad thing to happen...

Benny95TA 06-17-2007 10:54 PM

Burnouts at shows aren't uncommon. Hell, I have stood 20ft from a drag car doing a burnout before. Its a tragedy, but it was going to happen sooner or later.

Of course now burnouts by dragsters are going to be banned, and numerous other rules will be made in the name of public safety.

TurboRay 06-17-2007 11:16 PM

Just not worth it. I mean alot of guys know him from the site. Apparently he was a guy who has been running sub 8 second cars for a while. But shit happens. Thats what safety equipment is for. Its not worth the risk. At the end of that burnout he was going pretty fast. These things should stay at a track not a parking lot. Burnout is one thing. But a rolling prostock one is different.

Now all the those guy who stand dirt side at a rally. They know it can come any minute.

Yeah, they will probably really crack down on stuff at shows. Hopefully legal stuff like lawsuits and liability junk dont get out of hand in this situation.

I've come to the conclusion that stabbing your finger with a huge sharp knife isnt a good plan, luckily the bone stopped the knife from going any deeper

I test drove a 2008 lancer today. They're quite a nice car, however the torque steer on it was pretty horrible.

Super Dipper 06-22-2007 01:47 AM

a sandwich that has salsa, ranch salad dressing, a slice of cheese and a hint of pepper really hits the spot at 3am when one cant find anything else to eat after finishing putting a motor together.

the swig of crown probably didnt help my decision in making such a entree, but i can overlook that.
