not sure what to think of this... a civic type-r with a domani/acura EL front end: http://images.craigslist.org/00i0i_i...u7_600x450.jpg |
i like it |
ya, don't find it particularly offensive/ |
^ looks a little off but i dont think its HOS material, these swaps can look pretty good imo http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mb...wnbo1_1280.jpg http://prolifik1.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/egxbbs.jpg |
I seen a black civic with a el front end for sale on Craigslist few years ago. Didn't look good though. |
I kinda like the white civic/el thing. |
well then.... if anyone wants to see it in person, it's a real EK9 JDM import that is for sale at kia vancouver: 1998 Honda Civic TYPE R !! REAL JDM RHD FROM JAPAN !! EK9 !! RARE RARE |

CTR stock front end is way nicer IMO |
Talked with the original guy who imported it a couple months ago at a red light. Front end wasn't painted yet, and he was telling me he paid under $3g for the car at the japan auction because it was high k/rough shape. |

thats a wicked colour combo though….i love silver on red. |
Spoiler! Although the car itself is not HOS shame worthy, that wheel/tire/suspension set up is. It looks completely fucking stupid. |
Y u h8ing herrafrush???:troll: |
I always thought EK with EL front ends look awesome. wanted to do the conversion when I had a ek hatch |

^ Couldn't agree more. All it does it dial in even MORE understeer, which FWD already has more than enough... |

Not to mention the whole tire streching bullshit. It's just flat out retarded. I know why guys do it, and hey... it's their car, go nuts. I'll stop before I really start pissing people off lol |

I'm all for a nice flush fitment, but when there is that much poke (like the TL you posted) it looks rediculous. What makes it even worse, is that a lot of these guys are doing this with very expensive wheels with custom offsets, not to mention the money their dropping on suspension, alignments, and fender work. But, to each their own. |

You sound like you know every do's and don'ts on how to mod your car, post your car please because it must be perfect and no one will hate it right? :) |

I'd like to think I know the do's and don't's, but like I've said countless times over the years, everyone is different. If that's what makes you happy, so be it. I'm just voicing my opinion that some of the extreme wheel/tire setups you see, are over the top and look rediculous. I WILL say, I do admire the time and effort it takes to get these wheel setups to work. It's definitely not a simple process. |
I ran 15x10.5 et-19 on both my miata and old e30. Best decision i ever made and miss them terribly. Posted via RS Mobile |
