yup i got my wii modded from E-fix back in november.. quoted me $60 for my Wii which i bought back in dec '06.. and if you have a recent Wii, they charge $80 for it.. but ya, anything over $100 is overpriced... |
Well I just kinda of walk in and ask the price. There was a lady there. I think the new Wii require more money to mod coz I think there is more work require to it. |
the d2pro is usually about 120 installed .. i seen it for 140 at some places d2ckey is about 110 and 120 and others new wiis are harder to mod, and those 2 above are the current best chips out there. so comPC quoted u $120?, do u know which chip? |
^^ no idea lol it was near closing time and the lady there just wanted to get out. I will ask niext time I drop by. |
thanks, need to get mine modded |
I am not sure if it is a good idea to get a Wii modded at this time. Since the Wiikey team might not release anymore update for their mod chips. I will just wait a bit more to see what will happen. |
but doesnt the wiikey team support only the wiikey mod chip? |
well I have to go and ask what mod chip they use. |
do u work nearby or something? because i have the newer gen wii's i'd need the d2pro or d2ckey (best/2nd best) for my version of wii |
I have the newer gen of wii as well. I live like 10mins away from metro. Porlly I iwll go ask this weekend. |
^ anything what modchip do u have on your wii? |
Is April 27th the release date for Mario Kart for Wii in Canada too? I can't wait. I know the game comes with one steering wheel adapter, but if you wanted to buy more, is there an official Nintendo steering wheel or is it a third party thing? I saw a steering wheel at Walmart last week and it looked like a cheap aftermarket thing. |

gametrailers already has their mario kart review posted an 8.4.. really good review.. they criticize the power ups in the game as how it can be an annoyance and of course, the dumb down gameplay to make casual gamers more appealing.. |
meh i just installed the on off switch on my wii tonite ~ saves me the headache later having to wait for a firmware just to play retail version of games -_- |
I am playing okami (played the Jp version on PS2), it's the only game I spent 5 hours with my Wii. |
i heard its hard to race with wheel... should just stick to gamecube controler |
Holy cow, the steering wheel is hard to use. I can't steer worth crap with it. Gamecube controller is waaaay better. I purchased an extra three steering wheels for this game. I'm gonna return them tomorrow. The game itself is pretty awesome, though. I haven't played on-line yet, but with 12 players on the track it's going to be a blast. Edit: I bought the game at Willow Video in Langley. Opened at Midnight for Mario kart release (only had 45 copies). The steering wheels were selling for 15 bucks. They were the same ones as the one included with the game. I'm not sure if this version of Kart is better than the DS version. Just different. The courses are pretty wild. Back to playing........ |
Don't use the GC controller, it's easiest to use the remote and nunchuck. That way you can do the jump tricks easily (just shake the controller when you're in the air) which will give you a small speed boost on every jump. |
does wiikey support it? i dont want to buy it to find out i can't play it. |
just install a on/off switch for the wiikey :P takes less then 30mins and you won't have to worry about it :) |
