was ot a bad idea for me to pre order metroid? should i switch the preorder and wait for a review
No no, if anything else it should be fine

during E3 '07, Gamespot, Gamepro and IGN praised Metroid Corruption and they expecting it that once this game is released, it will be another foundation of what FPS games should b like on consoles.. much like what Goldeneye and Halo did..

they praised it for ultimate, almost flawless controls that what Red Steel got it wrong, they got it right with Metroid..

although i doubt it will still beat the mouse and keyboard controls...

Correct... but it will KILL the regular "controler" controls... aka 360/ps3

Found an awesome modder on Craigslist who said they could do the legless mod.

His name is Gav and I went to his place in Surrey to do it. He does it out of a nice living room in his house. Super friendly and knowledgeable. Took around 40 minutes, but he has a TV or wireless Internet for you while you wait...

The mod came out perfect. Couldn't be happier with it.

just got my wii modded by this guy too. great service cool guy, and the mod came out perfect as well. would recommend you give him a shout if ur wondering about a mod.

danlee78 08-08-2007 11:55 AM

does modding damage ur wii in anyway?

i remember my friend said he got his modded, but some guy charged him $30 and told him to sodder it himself.

forgamez 08-08-2007 12:10 PM

it shouldn't damage your wii or any system if the guy who mods it does a good job.

The only cavaet I learned with my modded PS2 is to always make sure your backup games are on a high quality DVD. Bad quality DVDs makes it harder for the laser to read the disc and adds more wear and tear on the machine.

well i'm finally back on this thread.. just got my wii modded at COMPC yesterday and i couldn't be more happy with it, although i read something about the new update for the wii that concerns me a bit

here's the link: http://wii.ign.com/articles/811/811064p1.html

...However, if you've illegally modded your Wii to play import games or copied titles then be warned. Before you update your firmware a message from Nintendo reads: "If your Wii console has an unautorized technical modification, this upgrade could cause inoperability of your console." Looks like Nintendo is clamping down on modders.

has anyone updated and noticed any problems?

forgamez 08-08-2007 03:59 PM

if you check out the wiikey website, there is some info on it.

But the firmware update is not critical, so I would hold to be safe.

i updated by accident with no problems

terkan 08-09-2007 12:57 AM

the only problem with the wii update is it'll not boot ur setup disc or homebrews unless you run it in gcos mode

for me, i've probably spent over 600$ on my Wii, and I cant say i'm disapointed or let down even if I do hardly play it anymore

is it true that i can't store games that i download from the Virtual Console onto a SD card? then what is the SD memory slot used for? just pics?

ok... is it important to be able to run these setup discs? or will my wii not function properly without them?

SD card can be used for mp3s in ExciteTruck too, and possibly game saves? I'm not 100% sure about the second, but I'm sure more games are going to make use of it since the Wii has limited space too.

You can store the games on an SD card, and move it back to the Wii when you want to play. Games will only work on the Wii they were purchased.

danlee78 08-12-2007 12:32 AM

i just got Mario Strikers...it's my first wifi game, so this might be a stupid question...but where do i find my wii friend code?

i went to the message, then address book, but there's a 16 digit code, but when i want to add a friend code on mario strikers it asks me to enter a 12 digit code....?

SloJo 08-13-2007 11:33 AM

Anyone know if wiimotes bought in HK would work for the wii's bought over here?

danlee78 08-13-2007 01:53 PM
