it's a Proximity Cards (RFID).

We have it here in Shell and Esso as well where you use the smart tag to pay for the gas. Or some of the company has the card to open their door.

It's been use in HK a lot for tansit and paying small items. I believe that particular system in HK was developed by one of the company in Canada. They are not being deploy on our skytrain/transit system was because of union's rejection. :p

As small as it is.. it's thicker than the normal size one..

lol we've explained what it was a few posts up, but no, it's not a credit card at all. More like an instant and wireless debit card (i.e. you have money in the account already).

well now u can link ur credit card to ur octopus .. when is running low money.. it will take money from ur credit card transfer to ur octopus :)

the one that i have is just for fun, the mini octopus can hook it on to a phone strap.. so make it easier BEEP, instead of taking out my wallet :)

Help me aznboi128. I cant get my battery door open. The battery door just flexes when i press down to open it. Its damned slippery too. Any suggestions how to open it? I dont want to crack it before i even get to use it

haha, the mini octopus card does look nice, which i have one and using it now. LoL i was lucky which i got the last one when i went the the 7-11 1st day when i back to hk. Somewhere is selling $128-$168 hkd now.

so far, ive been able to show red, blue, green and a blend of them.

does it flash when the phone rings? like 903sh? thats what i liked best about the 903... lol

it flashes your themed color when it rings.

K, the colors it can flash are...
Turquoise
Blue
Yellow
Green
Red
Purple
Pink
and a blend of all the above colors.
It can ring as "Disco Mode" like the 903

Read some review, they were showing the S500i keypad gets crack easily and actual pictures were posted. It looks bad for SE with another design flaw. Be gentle with that phone.!!
