No, I think it means that Sony Computer Entertainment America LLC ("SCEA") is now running it's online service through Sony Network Entertainment America Inc. ("SNEA"). This means you have to sign a new terms of service and if you do not wish too, SNEA will return any balance you had in your wallet and close your online account.

Hope that makes sense.

I'm having the same problem here so I decided to google around and apparently all of the Playstation Network is down. I thought my internet crapped out but my computer and WiFi are ok...

i had every intention of playing nothing but classic mp and just let my gun mods naturally progress.. now i just keep playing the sp to level up my guns since i have nothing to do..

Anyone know a fix for cinavia with the new firmwire? For those who don't know cinavia is a audio matching program that detects audio streams of downloaded movies and makes them unwatchable. Before patch 5.6 you could split your audio channels and fix it but no luck now

As much as I love my Playstation, Xbox Live will forever be infinitely better than the PSN. Anybody who complains about paying for the service is not getting the point that (once again), "you get what you pay for".
