Anchor Man 2

6.5/10

mb_ 01-08-2014 07:33 PM

Rush 9/10

Brilliant fucking movie. Not sure how a non-car enthusiast would like though

BBMme 01-08-2014 08:07 PM

Wolf of Wall Street - 6.5/10

What a mess of a movie. I read the book and it was all over the map, I hoped the movie would set it up better. Boiler Room is still the better iteration, albeit, on the trader's perspective.

wolf on wall street 7/10

awesome in the beginning but it really lost me halfway through.

Dallas Buyers Club 8/10 - strong acting and heartfelt story

quasi 01-12-2014 08:34 AM

Dallas Buyers Club 9/10 - I enjoyed it a lot more then I thought I would.
Lone Survivor - 7/10 - Again, decent movie worth watching once for sure.
The Wolf of Wall Street 6.5/10 - Had it's moments, also was a little bit dry at times didn't hate but didn't love.
12 Years A Slave -8.5/10 - Really enjoyed this one again based off a true story.
Escape Plan 5/10 - I wasn't expecting much and that's what I got but it's Arnie and Sly so worth sitting through for one liners.

mako 01-12-2014 08:46 AM

The Rock

rsx 01-12-2014 08:34 PM

Secret Life of Walter Mitty - 7.7/10
A nice surprise. I thought it was going to be super campy, but it was a good watch.

Ludepower 01-12-2014 09:13 PM

Rush 8.5/10

Great real life story

mac25 01-12-2014 09:26 PM

War Horse... never really wanted to see it, but these things happen.

Set design 10/10
acting 6/10 the accents were horrific
sound track 8/10
sound effects 8/10
story line 5/10
main character's ability to hold the story 4/10 (the main characters were the horses and though they did good, the way the director humanized them was way too cheesy).

= 6.8/10 overall

Teriyaki 01-12-2014 10:06 PM

Don Jon 6.5/10 - It was what I expected it to be. Only watched to see what it was all about. Short though. Its a different kind of story in all aspects. The way it was shot, the way it was told, a breath of fresh air. Maybe a little too artsy at times for me.

The Spectacular Now 9.5/10. Really good movie overall. It hits the feels in the right places without forcing anything. Some parts left me breathless out of nowhere at all. Well-acted and directed. Don't let the premise of the movie and age of the actors mislead you into thinking this is just another teen movie. Recommended watch.

KO7 01-12-2014 10:15 PM

Captain Phillips 9/10

Tom Hanks' last scene in the movie was almost too convincing, what a performance. Movie kept me enthralled the whole way through. A little too much like a Navy SEALs and US Navy infomercial near the end though.

white rocket 01-13-2014 07:43 AM

Rush 7.5/10 - Great story and well told. As a gearhead I really enjoyed the sets and cinematography but I don't think a non-gearhead would enjoy the movie as much.

604STIG 01-13-2014 02:33 PM

Wolf Of Wall Street 8.5/10 -Very entertaining and kept my interest, not once did I look at my watch.
