I think I will go pick up one of those turbo engines that Justin is getting there and put it in my car.. if my car had the turbo power then shit would hit the fan and I would be satisfyed.. It would be decent fast due to the lightweightness of my model compared to the T2 models..
Anyways.. RX7's RULE! | Yeah dude. Sounds like an amazing deal. I am waiting for the guy to reply to my e-mail with more details about it all. I will post again with full details once I get em. Would be sweet to have a full JSPEC TII swap done by summer....

I think I finally found the tires that I'm going to get for this summer. I really wanted the RA-1's but I've realised that I will eventually be getting some nice 15's (Come on Panasports) but just need a decent tire to hold me over. And at 216$ for set VS 600$ for the Toyo's I can afford to rip through them.

Alrighty yall, need some help if anyone has any good sources for parts. Just found out the JSPEC engine I am getting does not come with ECU So, I need to know if there is anywhere that can get me a S5 TII ECU, prefferably not real pricey but whatever, has to be purchased. So anyone got any sources??
Also, anyone know if it would be possible to somehow hook up the CUT JSPEC Wiring Harness when using a USDM ECU? If not possible then I also need to purchase a new Wiring Harness. Anyone got any sources for those at all?
Thanks
Later

-Justin | I guess that would be no problem...if the car engine and ECU have same year, designed for turbo(or NA), same redline and same horsepower...
Not sure though...

Well dont you have a TII?? if u do then u can just use that ecu still. If your car was an n/a before then you will have to get a TII ecu which will be hard to find for your year. Ya will most likely have to get a ecu from japan or austalia, s5's TII's are hard to find in NA and getting a ecu will be almost as hard.
Dont those engines come with a wiring harness?? meh

Also you said you will need a new intercooler?? umm that engine should come with the stock top mount ic. It kept my engine around 1/3 on the temp gauge.

Dont those engines come with a wiring harness?? meh | I have a S5 NA right now. I will be getting a TII ECU from somewhere, god only knows that. And yes the engine comes with a Wiring Harness, it is cut though. But I was unsure wether the JSPEC one would work on the USDM ECU or not, but it turns out it will so no problems there.
One thing that is sorta making me think twice though is I have been hearing that these engines tend to blow easily. Cause they sit without running for so long and such they tend to blow within weeks and unless you are gonna rebuild it right away it is not worth buying one, have heard this from a few knowledgable people, now I am not so sure about getting it. I probably will though anyways. Anyone know anything about this or have experience? I don't wanna buy the engine and get it installed only to have it blow up in my face. My thought are it would probably be fine as long as you treat it like a brand spanking new engine with all new seals and really really take it easy on it for like 1k km.
Oh, and yes the engine comes with the stock IC, I was not sure cause my friends engine was not supposed to come with the stock IC (not a rotary, something else) but cause they are out of ECU's for his car they are including IC instead. So I was unsure if mine would be the same. But yes it comes with IC.
I also realized I may need to buy a Turbo AFM, unless engine comes wtih it which I think it should.
