I GOT IT !!!!!!!!! Ahhahaha, finally. Fixed (for now). I think it was a combination of the hardline fitting and bleeding. When I re-bent the line I guess I wasn't accurate enough the first time and the line wasn't seating properly against the master cylinder although the fitting did screw in. Did a better job bleeding this time too, picked up a 6 dollar self bleeder that works great. The pedal is stiffer than I can ever remember it being.

Now all I need is a need bleeder screw for the slave cylinder (old one's looking a bit stripped) and a new section of hardline. I want to redo it properly as the length of line has changed and I would like to get the mounting bracket back to the stock location.

Timpo, you might want to put the link in your sig this way so people don't have to cut/paste to get to your thread.

Copy that in...should work.

Well, that lasted all of a 10 minute drive. Went to leave from a light and the clutch pedal felt a little low again. Few minutes later and she's totally gone again, I pick up bcty and book it back to his place to inspect it. Rebleeding by hand, and it's worse than before. Grrreat. So I drive home, here's the thing. I'm actually starting to like this no clutch thing, it's not that bad. The only funny part is starting the car in gear when I hit lights, other than that I can shift normally, even downshifting isn't a problem.

At home I break out the good tools and take another look. I get out the sweet bleeder helper and go to town. Hmmm no pressure, again. So I'm under the hood operating the fork by hand, and I hear this noise. The same squishy noise the old master master cylinder was making, but this time it's coming from the slave. I pull back the dust boot, and brake fluid a plenty. Always replace those hydraulics in pairs, if one's gone there's good chance the other is clse to being shot. Looks like the slave wasn't up to taking more pressure than it's had in years and let go. Ha ha, can't blame it. Yesss, more time to play with the car. Another trip to Lordco, I think they actually have this thing in stock, 20 bucks oh boo hoo I can't afford that.

Part is ordered, should be here on Monday or Tuesday. No rubber, that's it I'm emailing tirerack to see what's up. The least they can do is provide some tracking numbers.

Thats the exact same thing that happened on my 83.I replaced the slave then had to replace the master the next morning.Damn that cheesed me off after buying a new clutch for it.I still need a new slave for my T2 setup. I would be telling tirerack to hurry the hell up on that order. It shouldn't take that long for tires and shit.My bodykit is only taking 3 weeks to get to this shithole and thats a full kit.Plus you guys live closer too.Damn I would let them have it.

Rx racer: I would be jumping up and down, screaming bloody murder, but I won't be installing these tires the moment I get them. I'm still ordering the springs and poly bushings for the front end. I'm planning to install the suspension and the tires on the same day so I can get it aligned on fresh tires. The old ones have some odd wear from a mis-alignment about a year ago, and I've replaced a bent lower rear control arm with a straighter one form the junkyard. All in all, I don't want to screw my brand new tires by running them on a funky alignment. That's my job dammit. If anyone's going to mess them up...it's gonna be me.

The turbo's might have to rebuilt too. A good idea when buying and FD is to budget another 6k for the possibility of a rebuild and the cash to do the standard reliability mods.
