ok i sold the red car.. now im gonna be sitting here with 11G in my hand and a nice 1st gen car.. hmm thinking i would rather keep the 1st gen and have the 3rd gen engine in it, instead of a 3rd gen itself for what its worth.. so this is what im thinking..
- 16x7 Panasports (white)
BF Goodrench Street Drag Tires
- Coilovers
I really want coilovers but dont know what to do about the rear.. i dont feel like converting to a GSL-SE rear.. Might just get some RB springs and Some Racing Koni shocks or whatever you guys reccomend i want something that will be a harsh ride i dont care.. this aint an old ladys car.. And i guess with this comes all the strut cars and sway bars.. but i guess its reccomended that you remove the stock rear sway bar or leave it there just dont upgrade it eh?....
- Turbo
This car would be really wicked with a blow though setup on it.. at about 15-20psi i would say about 400hp or so with this port i have.. I am very weiry about doing this, i know its easy but I need backing and lots o support..
- Rollcage
Being built by a friend, this will be fun!
- Stereo
Yes im putting a few mids in it and maybe a 10" sub (wont this be an all around car? )
- Flywheel... Looking at the RB aluminum flywheel.. The thing that concers me does the flywheel wear out or is it the clutch material / friction plate more? And for a clutch what would you recommend? i dont hear good things about the Center force ones.. i was looking at the one the RB offered but wont i need an organic friction plate with an aluminum flywheel?
- Brakes.. I think the brake department will be pretty good.. Ill pick up some Hawp Hp pads and get the SS brainded lines and keep the drum rear.. For the weight of this car it sould be plenty of stopping power..
- Exhaust - I guess if i go turbo then Ill throw on a 3" or 3.5" exhaust if i can fit it uder the car.. Any experences with big pipes anyone?
- Seats are cummin in.. 5 point harnesses are in now and i am picking them up tomorrow..
- Gauges would be nice to put in.. So let see what i will need..
Oil Pressure
Water Temp
Oil Temp
Exhaust Temp
My bud runs temp sensors for his tranny and diff too and exhaust but i think thats not really nessary.. oh and A/f and boost if i get this turbo in...
I think that pretty much does it.. I would like to get some side skirts but have nobody that has them or made them?? anyone? I am running outta ideas here of what to get and so on.. Any ideas shoot them out.. There must be something that i missed...

I think you should sell 1st gen and save money for 3rd gen...
If you spend same amount of money, I think 1st gen will go faster but 3rd gen will hold your resale value...
If you just buy a 3rd gen, you'll get 13B twinturbo, you don't have to worry about swapping or anything like 1st gen, because its already in the car.
3rd gen is newer, and interior/exterior looks better.(IMO)
Sounds like you will be able to afford for a 3rd gen soon so I think you should just keep saving your money...
BTW...they are my personal opinion.

yeah they are really really nice car i would really want one, one day.. But I really kinda like the vintage type thing.. I always admired my buds datsun510 because its come so far and its extremely nice now.. This car will be cheeper for me to maintain even well maybe not on gas when i have 400hp hehehe..
I think a turbo 1st gen would be better then a 3rd gen right now becuase it would be something nobody has around here.. nobody would expect it and i would love it.. The power to weight ratio would be off the wall..
This thread getting kinda slow right now.. hmm.. hey RX hows that motor cumming along?
p.s - Hey TIMPO get another rx7 now! like ok well maybe... NOW do it NOW! quick! I have a friends thats sellin his T2 for 6500 really nice!

cya | I love all RX-7s including 1st gen, so I'm not trying to be rude or anything to 1st gen owners but I think 3rd gen almost looks like a supercar...
They are flashyer than 1st gen and looks cooler...IMO...

They do look flashier and cooler, but of course they are also 8 years newer and came out at a time when all sports cars were becoming more rounded looking and more aerodynamic and such. But the 1st gen looks awesome as well, for a car from its time. Hell, all 3 gens look wicked IMO!
Congrats on sellin the FC, sounds like the 1st gen is gonna be gettin pretty nutty now, can't wait to see it ripping along.
later

All I know is it looks fucking SICK! OMG I want it NOW!

ok yeah i love the 3rd gens and i would love to have one.. but lets look at it this way..
find a decent one for 17,000 lets say stock
needs 3,000 in mods then i can rally it
2,500 year for a kid like me to drive it
94 octance gas is expensive and i would burn sooo much
known for some engine probs and parts are hard to come by and expensive
i have the 1st gen.. $3000
cheep, pleantyfull for parts
85$ month for insurance for me!!! (what are they thinking??)
gas i can run -87 and its cheep
more fun i can rally this car harder
plus turbo this thing and oh boy!!...
3rd gen is good to go if i get this promotion in October which I probally will.. So lets all wait till then will be a good christmas!
Can someone find me a dam radar jammer?? seriously though..

I think I started out around 105-110. Yeah discount! Too bad they jacked it down from 10%/year to 5%/year. Oh well, at least I got a few years in at the sweet discount.

| HOLY CRAP!!!!
Wow, can anyone tell me is Progressive Motorsports always a rip off?? I just got quoted for a S5 NA engine with a mild street port. For just the core, this is the price it would be after I gave them my current core.....$3800!!!!!!!!!! I am shocked. Looks like getting from Calgary is definatly happening, seeing as how it is only $2400 shipping included with TII rotor housings, large street port on intake, and upgraded apex seals, and that is brand new housings, not used. Anyways.....just needed to vent a bit after hearing that heart breaker... later
