did u put it on the end of the tube , or right on the air pump piece ?

Just put it on the end of the pipe... save you some trouble.

But i dont really see why it would matter where u put it as long as its gettin filtered air

yeah thats what i did, but the end piece went inside of the nipple thing instead of on the outside of it so its kinda ghetto rigged on there, but i just didn't know about the heat

The Air Pump doesn't really suck in enough air for it to matter if its getting hot air or not. Just stick the filter on the air pump itself (where the air is sucked in) and it will be fine, as long as your main intake is not getting really hot air.

Lol? How hard is it to treat a rotary? Just be more alert on the things you would ignore with a piston engine. IE oil, temp, and coolant. Not hard to maintain the engine if you can do those simple things. Every so often open the engine bay and look around for any unusual leaks and whatnots. I'm not saying you hafta be a maintanance nazi but these are good engines. My engine outlived a Toyota 3.0L V6. Thats enough to put a grin on my face.
