Hey guys
can anyone tell me what do i do with the air pump hose ? I just installed a aftermarket mushroom filter and the hose is just hanging there. What do i do with it ????

If you still have Catalytic converters you should tap your mushroom filter and put the air hose into that... If you dont have cats take the Air pump off

what did you do with the pump hose ray?booZOR is in the same spot you were.

the air pump hose is rigeed with a screen/fabric stuff to keep dust and dirt out, until i get a breather

RX racer - I saw your post on the big forum, I'm getting the same fucking mileage you are, around 300kms to a tank. That works out to 11mpg, and it's supposed to be 17mpg stock. bcty and DC450 both get 450kms to a tank. I'm going to replace the air filter, fuel filter and o2 sensor, and I'll let you know if that makes a difference at all.

raymond_87 and booZOR - Where are you guys getting your cone filters and adapters from? How much? What kind? Also, where do you get a breather from for the air pump hose, and how much does that run you?

Hey RX racer this should piss you off. Here is a comparison of our mileage.

We barely beat:

Lamborghini Murcielagos (571hp V12)
Lamborghini Diablo (550hp V12)
Ferrari 550 Maranello (485hp V12)

We tie:

Dodge Vipers (450hp V10)
Aston Martin DB7 Vantages (420hp V12)
Ferarri Testarossa (380hp H12)

We lose to:

Cadillac Escalade EXT (345hp V8)
Chevrolet Corvette (405hp V8)
Ford Mustang SVT Cobra (390hp V8)
GMC Yukon Denali (320hp V8)
BMW M5 (394hp V8)
Jaguar XK8 (370hp V8)
Mercedes-Benz CLK (342hp V8)
Lincoln Navigator (300hp V8)


So, in summation, the only cars we fucking beat are 485hp+ V12s, the cars we tie are 380hp+ V10+ and the cars that beat us is EVERYTHING down from 405hp V8s. Even those gas-guzzling SUVs I hate get better fuel economy than me.

for ppl who were wondering about the filter and adapter ,both were purchased from Rx Racer, talk to him hes a very good person to deal with and good price too. and the breather should cost maybe 10-15 max, apc k&n ractive.... make them

If you're getting new headlights, you should get crystal lens...
Crystal headlight is way brighter than stock lens...you can buy crystal headlights from Ebay or some stores on internet...

Why not justmake it simple? Remove the air pump and the main cat. The foam filters i heard were pretty bad if left on for a long awhile compared to the knn style cone filters which you can get off ebay for relatively cheap. I got mine plus the adapter for 60 CAN $ shipped. I broke 3000km on the rebuild! 5k rev limit !!

Yeah I know my car loves gas.Thats the price I pay I guess.

i have the k&n style cone , not the foam , the cat as in cat convertor ? is so i cant afford to get a pipe put in to replace that , so have to wait til next month when i have the money for full exhuast :)

Ahh ic. Why not just make a block off plate for the main cat and remove the piping that goes to the air pump? Then you can remove that air pump and have more space in the engine bay. I think i weighed to pump to weigh 20ish lbs.

Thats what I've been selling them at.Pretty much at cost but my ebay account looks better with the positive feedback I get tho.I have alot more stuff on the way in too.Like N1 mufflers a GT2 spoiler.
