so, if you have no cats, the air pump is useless then? i'd love to rip it out, if thats all its good for.

RX Racer, where can i get an adapter plate? thats all i need, that, and a breather if i find out that i should keep my air pump in..

Basically if you're only gutting your cats it would still have the metal piping going straight from the cat to the air pump. Remove air pump take out that piping and either weld the opening on the cat shut or make ablock off plate. Gt2 wing? got a pic of it? I need a stock looking spoiler to cover up all the scratches on my rear. BTW air pump is used only to accelerate the warmup of the cat so you have better emmisions. With it gone there is no use for it and best off removed.

Theres a few people on ebay selling just the adapter plate itself.They will run you about $13USD tho.

i have an aftermarket exhaust, from the downpipe back, but still looks to be a cat in place, how do i find out if its gutted or not?
or would it be pretty obvious?

i think i may try fabbing up my own plate..

To tell whether its gutted or not you'd have to take it off. Anyone get those forbidden audio flyers? Anyone have anything good to say about them?

the filters and adapters you should be able to buy at any lordco.. for a decent price.. Velocity (rx7 club) has a discount number there.. if you want it pm me..

adapters are the harder thing to find.. I found a perfect on at SHC down in Victoria.. Basically its a mazda adapter and most mazda adapters for the afm are generic.. have fun finding one..

dont bother gutting your cats its a waste of time and yoru exhaust will sound like ass afterwards.. if anything just get a straight pipe put in.. Justin (BlackFC) got his straight pipe made from the manafold to a single muffler out back for like $150 i believe.. well worth it..

Jeff you said you got lights now? what type? lordco sells the Hella H4 conversion ones.. I hope thats what you got and not some ricer POS ones... :)

the airpump has a rubber tube the goes from it to the stock square airbox stock.. just take a small breather.. can be found anywhere like can tire or lordco.. they come in many colors.. rip the hose off and stick it on the metal pipe that is left over there.. I really hope you dont tap your HKS mushroom filter that you payed $300 for.. Racing beat also makes block off plates for the acv.. or if your good with aluminum go for it and make your own..

Anywho My car is cummin along great.. I got a brand new tranny.. New turbo of a Anniversary 7.. got a heavy duty clutch so no slippage for me.. and i sourced out some GSLSE injectors for cheep to get me by for a bit.. I fingered my turbo.. :) Anyways Car should be done Tuesday.. So justin if you get this lets still go down monday sel your car or whatever.. and well crash at my bros place and take my car home! :) let me know..
