Tail lights are rounded instead of the ultra modern rectangulars for the S5. Also S5's have their front bumper that extends pass the fender unlike the S4 which has a once piece bumper that only meets the fender lines. I personally think (unbiased) that the S4 has better cosmetics than the S5 especially the rear lights.

S4 - 86-88. 7k redline, 146hp, rectangular tails and black moldings. GXL and TIIs have LSDs.

S5 - 89-91. 8k redline, 160hp, round tails of sex and body-colored moldings. A bit heavier and no LSDs for GXLs, only TIIs.

Just know that my S5 is the sexiest S5 around! Although there are alot of losers in their S4's that are total wannabe's and get the S5 tail lights and get there side moulding painted the same colour as the car so they "appear" to be S5.

My car is an S5 and its the fastest NA 2nd gen in these parts (yeah thats right Jeff). Tommy, you WISH you were NA, gawd I love NA so much, I hate waiting for the power to come on after the turbo spools, I love just punching it and getting instant power. ;)

so heres whats up..

me and justin get back from a spirited drive.. and at the end we say our good byes and a guy pulls in with a red brand new Z06.. im like ohhh whatever! and the older guy hopes out and lets his son in.. im just thinking that pretty cool.. so i leave and this thing comes flyin up behind me.. so i am holding it in 3rd gear.. waiting.. eh hits it first and i do the same by 60km/h - 180km/h he pulled one car.. And this is what pisses me off I was at about 5K thats 200km/h and i try and go a bit more and i start to over boost.. So we are nexk and neck a bit now and I have to feather my throttle and keep it at 8psi and he walked away!! fucker!! I Feel confident that i couldve beaten him if I could hold a steady 10psi! fuck now i ahve to figure out how to do this.. any ideas?! I am getting the bigger injectors now prob 800's and try to get my buds 680's and i guess id need bigger turbo.. but crap that pissed me off.. letting him go cuz i cant push any harder on the gas.. DAM

p.s - cars running great, I got home and felt my intake.. No lie it felt like an ice cube.. touched my tid right at the turbo.. ICE!! my cold air rocks! prob what saved my ass tonight.. :) N/A's suck!! :) lata guys!

Turbo lag? Never heard such a thing in my car after my CUSTOM TID mod was put in. BTW that lift kitted Black S5 is sweet. And his racing springs and shock combo are so stiff. PURE RACE CAR!

BTW that picture is SO BIASED! Has the S5 looking all glossy and the S4 all old. Put the S4 all glossed up and an S5 all junked up like that and you'll understand. S4 LIGHTS IS THE WAY TO GO!

Too bad I was not there. I bet the reason you lost is because your turbo, and you gotta wait for your power to kick in. If you had been an NA and had instant power when you hit the gas it probably would have been closer. NA's are wicked man, I love being able to hit the gas hard and get peak power pretty much instantly and not waiting for any bullshit boost to come on.
