they never upped the compression... they got lighter rotors and rotating gear.. revised the intake system.. new computer... i forget what else..

Actually bcty they did up the compression..the lighter rotors accounted for the higher redline...

o yea the 86-88 is 9.4:1 and the 89-92 is 9.7:1

i bet if you chould do this but the wirieng might not match up right but i may be wroung

is take the ecu out later modle and pop it in it place if it has bean changed that it most likly has to comp whih the higher red line and you will get power will the rotor take that i think so

as for intake that not much you can do there whiht out changeing the motor to much hell they may have not tuched it at all but i have no idea it is just what i am saying thats all

new ecu may work fine and you beable to get higher red line and get that gass you need up there

Well u can change your intake manifold to the 89-32 one or u can even change it to the fd model 93+...as for the ecu that wouldnt be a smart idea to change them...they run slightly different fuel systems and intake as mentioned etc...it would fuck your engine up and it would run worse...

Why have a higher redline if u dont make any power up that high?? your car would have to be fairly modded...Also u should just by a new aftermarket ecu if u wanna play with your engine..

Big increase. around 4000 it's loudest up to 5700, after that it just sounds like a jet. Boy is it ever loud. But hey, thats what you get for power....

Update: Alternator is kaput

I'm gunna go get another one today from the junkyard and pray to god that it works. I had to get my mom to pick me up from nanimo, and i took her battery, and on the way we changed. But i'm gunna get that rx7 workin

what is caues you to burn out your alt

if just caue syou have be ass boomb system i whould so sujest somehitng 2nd gen glx as theer alts are bigger and have high amp ratting i have ne in my garge right no that i was thinking biulding up

If it is just because you have a big ass boom system I would suggest a 2nd gen glx as there alternators are bigger and have a high amp rating. I have one in my garage right now that I was thinking of building up.

It was just corrosion in the alternator, and i needed a new rectifier. But it's all cleaned up, installed it today, and runs like a charm :D


except for my power steering is harder then hell to turn!
