yeah theres gains and its only a belt u can cut off and two bolts to take it off.. if u still have the stock airbox u need to plug the holes and only take it off after u get your race pipe!

bcty 07-28-2002 08:32 PM

hey, when u guys wanna have the next meet.. i wouldnt mind within like a month.. we can organize a BBQ.. its easyer to organize for 7 ppl instead of 100.. in a month or so ill have a few more mods to toys with on the way down! hopefully we can get everyone out for this one.. even DC450 from up island!! shoot out some ideas that could happen.. maybe we could meet at someones house if they have a BBQ??

DC450 07-28-2002 10:55 PM

What else can I do to get some more power out of my rex?

Won't you fail aircare without it????Mine never had that or power steering or even A/C when I got it.I pulled off that stuff when I bought my 13b as well.Sweet sweet power!:agree:

white_FD3S 07-29-2002 12:07 AM

I'm game for another RX-7 meet and I'm presuming that somewhere around Nanaimo would work best, so DC450 can come as well.
bcty-so... you have a bbq, eh:rolleyes:

the 12a engines were used up until 1988.....in 1989, the 13b was introduced, and remained the rx-7 engine until 1995, when the car was discontinued in the united states and canada. Does anyone know if a 20b has ever been put into a 2nd gen rx7?

p.s. hood scoops are ugly

12a engines were used untill 1985 and then they introduced the 13b.. then in 1986 they went full 13b with a bit diffrent design that they used untill 1989.. they changed a few small things to get a few more hp outta it.. 12a stopped in 1985 though.. pleanty on 20b's have been put into a fc... = loads of power..

p.s. hood scoops rock! they actually are functional.. most stuff that is functional is good! :) enjoy my rotary knowledge

CanadianRX7 07-29-2002 10:49 PM

is it that red one?? if so that is a old issue...i wonder wher emy new one is ?!?!

EightTrack 07-29-2002 11:08 PM

It can't be TOO old, I was reading it at chapters a week or two ago.

CanadianRX7 07-30-2002 01:50 AM

yea its pretty old.....its a pretty good article about it too...

rotaryking 07-30-2002 11:46 AM

I think a pretty sweet hybrid would be a 20b on an mr2, or even a 13b tt, although have you guys seen the savannah engine? triple turbo, three rotor, it's sick!, actually, the most insane thing I've ever seen was this guy in Japan who took a savannah, and fabricated a manifold so that each turbo had it's own exhaust port, and it had a triple exhaust..CRAAAAAAAZY!!!!!!!!!!!, I think he was only putting out like 450rwhp on it though.......I would have expected a lot more, considering his modifications.

p.s. Hood scoops are fine for a camaro or firebird, but I think a big fat front intercooler looks way better on an fc.
p.p.s. Does anyone drift their fc? If so, what is your technique?

rotaryking 07-30-2002 12:06 PM

another follower eh? well, we'll see who can drift around who!:D
but seriously, so you do shift lock, or power over, or what? I'm a total drift fanatic!, I can get the back end out quite easily, but my car tends to fish tail alot.
oh yeah, whe should also get the AE-86's out there too!

rotaryking 07-30-2002 12:30 PM

if you are really feeling adventurous, try curbing it, you hit the rear left or right tyre on the curb, hopefully a low one, and it makes the wheels lose traction......it's usually only good for low powered cars though:( plus it will screw up your alignment if you don't do it correctly, so yeah it's dangerous. That's what I tried on Tolmie, and right on the third turn I kicked the back end out way too hard, spun and crashed into a tree. THERE SHOULD BE A DRIFTING CIRCUIT!!!!!!!!

I partially agree with that, but the problem is that you take a place like tolmie, or something, and the beginners will no doubt crash, and kill themselves, so at least there should be some place where people can go, and learn the technique, so that if they do spin out, they wont cause tons of damage. Do you know any good roads?

Pedestrian X 07-30-2002 01:40 PM
