well i know bcty was talking about dropping a TII engine in there..a year would be a good time to do that..start at the begining of next summer when u have the cash...do it!!!!!!! |
i have a connection in Vancouver at Rotary motorsports... i was think turbo my car insted of dropping a T2 engine in.. they do conversions there... everything balanced.. type 2 stat gears.. scatter blankets and 12,000rpm :) im planning it out for what ill need now... :) theres a good side.. they take my licence my car get faster... hmm or they could let me keep it and it will slowly get there.. up to them... :) (DROOL) 12,000rpm.......... |
i would either street port or which ever your n/a or i would drop a TII engine in..I would rather keep my n/a a n/a instead of putting a turbo on...u will have limited power with that..go streetport, bridgeport or TII motor |

Alright guys, I'm drunk and have been thinking (run for your lives!!!). Am I wasting my time and money with my rex? Should I start dumping tons of cash into it or should I get it payed off ASAP and start looking for something else? If I keep the rex a street port is a must down the road, otherwise I've gotta move on. Whadda you think? |

Hey Bcty this just showed up on RS.Not too bad but a bit pricy because of the milage and work need(my 13b has 136,000 kms on it) 85 Rx you'll prolly want to remove the A/C and power steering and smog pump for more power too.and remove the ACV(air control valve)if you take the pump out.:agree: |
Is the problem with 2nd gen airbox's that there isn't enough cold air getting to it or is it the design of the box itself? I figure I can whip up some $2 system to get more cold air to the box, but if it's the box that's the problem I'll just wait and do something with a cone filter. |
Here is a nice kit.A bit pricy but looks good.:agree: FB light conversion kit |
spend 50-70$ and get a cone filter.. you can do a cold air like me or draft something up i had a cold air coming from behind before.. it worked good but i slao had one coming from the front.. they both cooled really well but when i stopped then the temps went back up to normal (which licks ass :) ) just get a dont filter.. its a good place to start if you dont wanna fork out the $$$ for the sxhaust right now.. :) |
Yeah, I'll just do the cone. I'll be doing the exhaust ASAP though. Hopefully within a month at the very latest. |
Hey Bcty you should check out the links if your looking into building a first gen.:agree: Someone is selling his 85 with new paint on RS.check it out in the sports cars forum.Once I sell mine I getting a new project FB 7 |
