i think its because TSN is broadcasting the game and they are doing a double header with the flames and sabres playing at 5pm.....

the last 3 years of the deal are worth $3m, $1m, $1m so they expect him to retire before the end of the deal. its basically a 9 year contract with a $5m buyout at the end to drive down the average hit against the salary cap to $6m/year from the $8m he will make
