Deja vu from last season seriously. |

Also, isn't the strategy of defensive 1 goal differential games the coach's decision as well. It worked the 1st year AV was here as were were in the good end of those 1 goal games, but backfired horribly last season, and again this season on the eve of Luongo's injury. Kind of makes you think whether the strategy of being in the right side of 1 goal games is based on luck. Lastly, you can't treat established NHL players like you do your junior players. Yes you want to make players accountable but they're not kids. Demoting Naslund to an abyss of pluggers, same thing with Demitra this year. Also under utilizing your key players such as Wellwood (who was brought in to finish plays) and Hordichuk (to better establish our physical presence) for pluggers to grind games out instead. Shit, I can go on but that's the gist of it. I haven't even started with lack of line consistency. Mike Gillis has already put a good team on paper. He upgraded the scoring abilities our with the acquisition of Sundin & Wellwood to add from the Sedins He improved our overall toughness with the acquisition of Hordichuk and O' Brien to add from Brown and Rypien We have one of the best checking lines in the league which also provides our team speed. We have arguably one of the best goaltenders in the NHL, backed up by Sanford and now LaBarbera. We have a solid D when Ohlund, Salo, Mitchell, Bieksa and Edler who (Salo & Edler) are also proven scoring threats on the blue with their shot. What the hell else does AV need? |
I don't care who's fault it is anymore. I don't have a man-crush on AV, so I don't care if he leaves. And who can possibly make it worst? Canucks are on a losing streak. If I was coach, Canucks would lose too. What's the diff? |

Sundin assigned to checking line. Fucking great. Very smart move AV...very fucking smart. |

7 games in a row and you put sundin with Burrows/Kesler? not saying anything wrong with that but I'm sure we didn't sign him to play a checking role. Sundin/Demitra is getting paid the big bucks so if we are going to lose might as well lose with them playing together in the 2nd or 1st line and let them get used to eachother. It seems like AV thinks these players will just build chemistry after 1 game or something lol. anwyays...enough about ranting. lol.. go canucks!! =) |
while anyone can say that it's the players fault for not being good enough, it's the coaches that give them the game plan. such as how many/hard to forecheck, formations, etc etc. his plan worked 2 years ago when nonis 'rebuilt' the team from the net out and didn't have the offensive capabilities. this year gillis continues nonis' work by providing some god damn offensive power and AV isn't adjusting his styles to complement his new players. this means using players where they should be. wake up calls are okay, keeping your star players with players that do not compliment his style, not so good. |
mike johnson, assistant coach under crawford and IMO, the one that should have gotten the job over AV could be a good consideration |
go flames go |
Noir: I can understand what you're getting at. But yea, the Canucks MAIN THING is that they just need ONE win, just one and they'll have confidence in themselves again. |

First of all, you're placed in an offensively restricted system Second of all, in a defensivley focused team, if you happen to go on a 5 game pointless streak, you're considered useless and demoted in icetime and of linemates. Does anybody remember Trevor Linden holding a closed door meeting/speech in the locker room before a game. IIRC, it was closed doors even to the coaching staff themselves. Apart from Naslund departing due to Vigneault, was this also an indication of a divide between Linden and Vigneault? |

Oh wow, they're fighting now in practice? What a bloody disgrace this team has become. It's becoming more obvious by the hour that AV and his bench clowns have lost this team. |
This is horrible... I wished Gillis can quickly find someone suitable to replace AV. If AV likes juggling lines so much, he should juggle himself away. Canucks have a solid team on paper. Don't waste this oppurtunity. |

Pat Quinn? |

On a little more serious note, I like Crawford. Apart from the goaltending, that guy was on the helm of the Canuck's most exciting and productive years. |
Not sure if Pat would want to come in and fix this mess. I wouldn't mind seeing John Tortorella but he could do more damage with his coaching style and temper. |

He'd tie these guys in a rope and teach them to stick together. :lol |

AV should go work at a circus since he likes to juggle so much. |
we should try Linden as coach |
AV is so stupid...he should just leave these lines and if we lose he's out simple as that. Sedin Sedin Wellwood Demitra Sundin Bernier Burrows Kesler Hansen Hordichuk Johnson Jaffray Av is a moron for the following reasons; benching Wellwood, the 2nd highest goal scorer on the team constantly Playing Pyatt like he's the savior Playing Sundin on a checking line?? |
