Anyone hear how the Nashville Preds are going to buy tickets to their own games to ensure they will get money as part of the revenue sharing of the nhl which makes the top earning teams give money to the lower earning teams?

What a complete joke. Great business move - but if I'm a owner of a top earning NHL team (i.e. Leafs, Flyers etc.) I wouldn't want to write a cheque to these guys..

I give Nashville one more season before they relocate but it's not like the relocation will do the NHL any good because Kansas City looks like the next city to get an NHL team.

where as teh NBA one is much better organized

don't like the game as much as i like the competition

the skills comps are good. I like how the nhl is having a rookies vs sophmores game now. Way to jack the NBA :) same thing with the "flashy" breakaway goal :lol

the skills comp is the only thing worth watching at the ASG.



on a canucks note, while it does apear we are completely shitting the bed, we are still in 7th in the conference, and we've got points in 6 of our last 10 games. while we clearly arent playing well, we are still in the hunt. a strong push after the all star break and winning 10 of our next 15 games (3 are div games) could very well put us right back on top of the division.

^^^Sportsnet was saying how the Canucks have to play 67% percent hockey from this point on to solidify a playoff spot. Let's hope we get on a good run lol
