lol... at least they don't have hobos/drug addicts around that area |
OT but I heard the Wash. Caps arena was located in a ghetto until they cleaned the area up around the arena a couple years ago. I think it was Gord Miller on TSN who was saying the area was quite scary. |
Next time someone talks about bandwagonning or being a real fan, they should take a look at this. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/st...ague&&&cc=5901 I assure you, this guy wasn't a bandwagonner. |

If we were to use fan arguments, then Winnipeg should have never moved to Phoenix in the first place. Nor should have the Vancouver Grizzlies moved to Memphis. But, sentiments are cheap - it's all about the money. |
Personally I would rather see a team in Winnipeg, Vegas, Kansas or Houston before another Southern Ontario team, I just hate everything to do with Toronto/Ontario that much. Hell sometimes I wish I were a terrorist and could dirty bomb the entire city of Toronto :haha: |

A win is a win, no matter how you get it. If they were that good, they would have been able to use their so called speed to work around it. I'd love to see the see the Canucks take them at home in 5. That would make the victory that much sweeter. |
lol what a loser... no demitra or salo still for game 4, bummer.. |

As for Vegas getting an NHL team, I can't see it really working since a) Vegas itself is in some trouble since the recession started b) not enough people who care about hockey will go to watch a losing team c) weather does not help. When it gets really hot, the ice inside the rink will be very poor. I remember someone mentioned something Gretzkey said when he first joined the Kings. There was a park with tennis courts and a few kids were playing hockey. When he left LA, that same tennis courts had a sign up on the wall that said no hockey was allowed. Basically you need to get people to play the game, then they will be interested in watching the game. |
Game day baby!!! |
Team in Vegas would be awesome. Fly in, watch a game and fly home for the same cost as watching @ GM place + parking and beers. lol Seattle would be ideal for Canucks fans trying to catch a cheap game. |
