Michael Buble, on his purchase last year of a part-stake in the Vancouver Giants: "I talked to Jim Balsillie a couple of days ago and it’s probably the first and only time he’ll be jealous of me."

:haha:

woob 05-06-2009 04:50 PM

hahahha Michael Buble is a funny guy

str8hustla 05-06-2009 05:14 PM

HonestTea 05-06-2009 05:44 PM

Tim Budong 05-06-2009 06:25 PM

Pens win!
Varlmorov makes the mstake to force the faceoff!

CANES!
too bad chara, shoulda made a stronger attempt to clear the puck

DanHibiki 05-06-2009 06:28 PM

i don't think varlamov made a mistake by freezing the puck. there was no clear pass to make and so the sane thing would be to cover it up.

If you are saying he made a mistake based on what greg millen said, don't listen to him, the guy sucks.

Harvey Specter 05-06-2009 06:31 PM

Wow, could Boston be the next version of the Sharks?

Nope - they got through the first round :haha:

rsx 05-06-2009 06:59 PM

imagine the branding, marketing and production of a LV Hockey Team...hot chicks, guns, score by Hans Zimmer, helicopters riding of in the sunset...classic JB..oh and hockey.

Soundy 05-06-2009 07:08 PM

Yeah, just what the league needs to gain respectability: a circus act.

I agree but major credit to the Canes. They've been on fire ever since Cole was sent back to them from the Oilers.

Tim Budong 05-06-2009 08:57 PM

Tim Thomas isnt as good as people say
technically, Cam Ward is the better goalie

Harvey Specter 05-06-2009 09:10 PM

Cam Ward has won a cup so that makes a huge diff as well in the post season.

Ludepower 05-06-2009 09:18 PM

Half of Canada don't know where Kitchener and Hamilton is...having a team where no one knows is bad for the league image...who's trying to gain mass appeal.

My stance on this is from a fans point of view....moving franchises hurts the fans who've been comitted to their teams...also the workers and local industry that relied on the team.

Phoenix/Glendale hasve everything set in place to support the team...they got a brand new stadium built for them...get rid of Wayne Gretzky and start winning...then you'll see fans returning and supporting the team.

All Im saying is setting up shop and then bailing is a coward thing to do.

Have to agree with you. This is the same guy who tried to move the Pens, the same team which is back to selling out games and moving into a new Arena. I honestly don't want to see another team in Ontario. The Sabres sure in hell don't want another team in Ontario which they've made loud and clear and the Leafs haven't commented yet but i'm sure they won't like the idea. I also find it sleazy how their trying to entice Gretzky to support the idea of moving the team by naming the arena after his father’s name. I hope Gretzky stands up and doesn't go along with this circus act.
