Strange thing is, I haven't had a hair cut in a longgg time because my hair growing rate seems to have really slow downed a lot.

Also, my hair feels really dry all the time.

I really really can't accept the fact that I'm losing so much hair in the past months when I'm barely 21. There has to be more than just me having baldness gene.
Being bald at age 30+ is acceptable but at age 20 is not.

gonna see the doctor just incase..

what if I'm lossing hair cause of a sculp infection or something. I may have a chance to save myeslf another 5-10 years if I act fast.
if you had a scalp condition, i think you would know.. itchiness, flakes, redness etc.. anything that is not normal. just face the facts and stop being in denial. you are losing your hair. ... now either be proactive and do something about it, or accept it.

found my answer today.

I'm balding.

Most men start to bald after 40, but since my dad started to bald when he was 29, I am too facing even ealier balding.

GG

time to shave my head and wear a cap.

i dont think my condition is as bad as yours, even tho we dont have pics to show.

But my hairstylist definitely noticed it. he said it aint bad, human go thru changes in their life, im just at a different stage now. Since im in my mid 20s, he said as long as i stay semi healthy, i should remain some what the same till im 40, than the next change should begin.

I used to use Pantene a lot, and never really bother with the conditioner. Recently i switched to Garnier, i think i like that better. Hair feels healthier, than again im not sure if that helps with hair falling out of my head, but im just doing my part i guess..healthier hair is a start?

PS

since you mentioned your dad started to bald at the age of 29, i think you should handle this matter more serious in an urgent manner if you dont wonna go bald. perhaps use the special shampoo like some of the members are doing, to contain the hair thats on your head right now without further lost.

Just use Nioxin #2 and call it a day. Expect to pay $100 beans every 4-5 months.

hair thinning and recession starts when you hit your 20s.. some ppl just start losing it at a faster rate than others.. every man will lose their hair... whether it is in their 20s 30s 40s 50s 60s etc... if you look at ppl on the bus or anywhere for that matter, 50% (at least) of males 20 or older will show signs of recession or thinning/balding. it just sucks when it happens to YOu. do your research... use nizoral every other day... use nioxin everyday and take saw palmetto as directed. hopefully those alone will help halt or slow down your thinnign if it hasnt gotten too bad.

you can get nioxin for cheaper than that... you can get the shampoo/conditioner combo (the big suckers) for 50 bucks... it takes me forever to get through it.

Im 22 and I started noticing my hair thinning when i was 17, 18, I can now see scalp at the crown of my head and also at the front at the left side. 80% of the time I wear a hat/ shaved head, in the winter and fall I grow my hair and try to cover up the balding spots. I don't use any hair loss treatment, it's just too expensive.

if you order rogaine online you can probably get a month supply for abotu 20 bucks.. which imo, isnt that much.. your cell phone, gym membership, daily coffee, or anything for that matter is more expensive...

One of my good friends from high school had full-on MPB at 20. I remember graduating and then not seeing him for a few years, and was surprised to see him bald. It was hereditary, as his dad went bald early, as well. He just shaves his head completely.

My dad is bald. He started thinning rapidly in his mid to late 20s. Bald by 30. I'm 32 and still have all my hair. Hopefully, I dodged a bullet on this, as a majority of people on my dad's side are bald, even his eldest sister. I got a little worried, a couple years ago, when I was washing my hair and finding a lot of strands in my hand, but it looks like that was a stress thing. Stress sucks.

Good pair of clippers will be the best investment ever if you plan to keep shaving your head. I cut my hair every 1-2 weeks and I haven't paid for a haircut in probably 7 or 8 years.
