Possibly... but if it gets below zero at night on those days all that rain/snow mix will freeze. Still going to be a mess.

Unless it's so cold and dry we get sublimation....... I think that's what it's called. Solid to gas (bypassing the liquid state).

Dear God,

Please don't listen to Jah Al Zawahiri, he's just bitter and doesn't like the snow. Please make it colder, and snow more. Thanks,

-Me.

PS: Besides, he's clearly a heathen.

I don't want to sound cocky or disrespect anyone, but driving in snow is not as impossible as some thinks. Like everything else, knowing and practicing is the key.

lol I almost ended up like one of those bastards in Euros yesterday when I entered a cul-de-sac without anticipating the depth of the snow inside.

used one of my friend's neighbor's freshly shovelled driveway as a runner up I barely made it out.... it was like Tiff Needell testing the Bosch traction control on 5th gear: switch it off to get a launch and once it's moving you have to switch it back on or else you'll lose against gravity.

Metro Vancouver
4:43 AM PST Saturday 20 December 2008
Snowfall warning for
Metro Vancouver issued

10 to 20 cm of snow for areas of the south coast and Queen Charlottes is expected tonight and Sunday. Localized areas with higher accumulations are probable.

This is a warning that significant snowfall is expected or occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..Listen for updated statements.

A pacific frontal system approaching the British Columbia coast will collide with entrenched Arctic air to produce another winter storm. The storm is forecast to reach Vancouver Island this evening then move to the Sunshine Coast and the Lower Mainland late tonight. Snowfalls of 10 to 20 centimetres or more are forecast but will vary dramatically across the south coast. Subtle changes in wind direction can result in much heavier snow. Areas subject to the strongest onshore southeasterly and easterly winds such as the east coast of Vancouver Island are at greatest risk of heavy snow. The Queen Charlotte Islands are also forecast to receive up to 15 centimetres of snow as outflow winds pick up moisture over Hecate strait.

Very strong winds will also develop as the storm approaches creating blowing snow and blizzard-like conditions in some areas. Easterly winds up to 90 km/h are expected to create localized blizzard conditions over northern Vancouver Island this evening. Southeast winds up 80 km/h are forecast to develop over West Vancouver Island late this evening and over Greater Victoria overnight. Travel will be treacherous on roads and highways and blizzard warnings may be extended to other coastal regions.

Meanwhile frigid Arctic air will continue to rush through the coastal passes to exit out the valleys and inlets producing very strong easterly winds and wind chill values below minus 20.
