Looks like Cyclones is selling Nexus 1000s for 169.99. Pretty pricy still.

Does anyone have any extra Team Assist Cards, looking to grab some new skates? I'm in Vancouver, but I'm mobile. Let me know.

If anybody plays on PICH or Coast, your team captains may have received an email to take a survey.

I am part of the Coast Hockey marketing volunteer committee and this will help us try and get sponsors/partners for deals and freebies for the league.

If they didn't or did not bother forwarding to you can you please help out and fill out this survey and pass along to the rest of your team? Only takes 5 minutes and you could win a pizza party for your team. Thanks!

I use wax so the ice shaving doesn't stick to it, also feels like it can take a pass softer

trip, you will have to buy the Deluxe replacements since the hardware is different than the pro-clip version (without a frame).

If you wanted to go with the HDO Pro-Clips instead, it's the cheapest at Cyclone Taylors. $69.99 for the 2 pack replacement and the hardware is $14.99/set. It's cheaper than Sportchek's $108.99 for 1 visor + hardware and their 2 pack replacement ($78.99).

I use wax. My tape job lasts longer and there is less ice build up onto my blade later into the game. I find that when I don't wax my stick the ice build up messes up my stick handling and my ability to receive passes. The ice build up causes the puck to just roll off my stick sometimes. Don't see any down sides in using it.

i dont like the bulkiness of the deluxe but it does offer more facial protection.. though i feel like i look retarded in it

i use this for wax

base and max control. i only have to wax my stick every 3-4 games or ice times. depending if my tape lasts and doesn't get hacked to death.

it costs twice as much but works amazing

Perhaps take a look at the HDO Wave Clip in style visor if you want something with a more protection but without the bulkiness of the frame.

Still cheaper to pick it up locally. Good quality shin pad but I find it tapers too much for my liking.

I think I read somewhere that Reebok makes the most protective shin guards and most widely used protection in the NHL (the pieces that are not visible, ie elbows chest). I use the 9Ks and they are protective and wide enough to do for shot blocking and they don't seem to hinder my skating either. Never felt a thing in them even against better players.

You're correct about Reebok/Jofa being the most widely used in the NHL but the pro models are different from retail.

Attention RS ice goalies:

I may (still waiting on word from another guy) need a goalie for a beginner-intermediate (with a few skilled guys sprinkled in) drop-in at 8 rinks on Saturday night (1045pm).

If you're interested in possibly playing feel free to PM me and I'll let you know asap if your services are needed. I'll likely know by Saturday afternoon.

Thanks in advance!

Taking a shot in the dark here, anyone know where I can grab some used gear in Sydney, Aussie? Deciding whether I should just ship my gear over or just try to try to buy some used gear. Thanks!

Any goalies here that could cover me this Friday, 11:30 PM at 8-rinks for a drop in game? I usually play in net, but I have a game beforehand in Richmond, and if possible, would like to see if anybody can cover.
