Iginla isn't a guy with class, he is a bitch with a temper. Watch any game where they are losing and he is doing shitty, he's cheap and picks fights with anyone, usually smaller people

where the hell was Burrows at the event today ???

MG1 10-09-2009 11:52 PM

Pat Quinn's comment was a little disturbing. Got him fined by the NHL.

Doesn't look dirty and Iginla isn't a dirty player, he's a tough player.

The only thing I can honestly say I don't like about Iginla (besides the fact he's a Flamer) is that he is constantly yap yap yap yap all the time... buddy would get a little more respect if he just shut his trap once in awhile

and whenever hes hit cleanly, he feels the need to fight the guy. But i guess theres both pros and cons to that

So we had our franchise pools draft last night starting off the 2nd year and I'm alredy tempted to make a free agent move..

Of these 3, which 2 would you have? The pool is just points no other cattegories: michalek, Dustin brown, sellane

right now I have michalek and brown but I almost want to drop one of the 2 for sellane, im thinking michalek?

Machalek was playing on the top line with Alfredson and Spezza, but last game, he finished the game on a line with Cheechoo and Fisher.

http://www.nhl.com/scores/htmlreport...0/TH020037.HTM

He has been playing 17-20 minutes a game, but if he continues at his current pace, his ice time might suffer.

If it was me, I'd say drop Dustin Brown based on Michalek's point potential if he is on the top line. But based off of the curent point pace, I say drop Michalek.

Nothing but points? That seems pretty boring.

Points-wise, Brown and Selanne would be my picks HOWEVER Michalek has a higher ceiling potential than either. He isn't as proven as the other two but if he breaks out, he'll be better. Brown and Selanne would be safer picks.

return of the nordiques??? :O

Quote:

QUEBEC CITY, Que. - The return of the Quebec Nordiques to the NHL may be one step closer to reality.

Quebec City mayor Regis Labeaume confirmed Saturday that he met with NHL commissioner Gary Bettman along with former Nordiques owner Marcel Aubut.

The talk took place in New York on Friday.

Labeaume refused to offer up more details but told media to expect more information in the coming days.

The mayor said the meeting went well and that he and Aubut were greeted warmly by Bettman.

Several Quebec City media outlets are also reporting that a new arena for the city will be announced next week.

Bettman said earlier this month he would consider Quebec City as a possible home to an NHL team if it went through with plans to build a cutting-edge arena and if a team were up for sale.

The Nordiques were sold in 1995 and moved to Denver as the Colorado Avalanche.

Caps are an offensive machine, Laich should get a ton of points

It's only points but there is alot to the pool

this is the second year of our franchise pool so going into this year we had to keep any 3 players we had from last year with the idea in mind that next year everyone is going to have to keep 3 forwards, 1 dman, and 1 goalie

we also have 2 "farm" players which we can draft at anytime during the draft, these players have had to have played under 150 games, these players are the players which you can replace injured players with, and if they end up out performing your regular roster player you can keep that regular roster player in the farm for as long as u want

goalies are 2 for a win 5 for a shutout

and you can also trade 1st, 2nd, 3rd round picks etc for players from other teams for the following years draft

we've worked out a pretty cool system but it pretty much takes the 2nd year to iron out the finer details

HonestTea 10-10-2009 01:32 PM

Renthal, Pick up Keith Tkachuk ASAP hes on FIRE right now! 3G and 3A in 3 games(or 4)

Renthal 10-10-2009 01:58 PM

thanks for the input d00ds.. I just dont know about tkachuk, he put up fairly consistent numbers but he's getting old. I only have 3 trades from now until march. I think i'll do jason blake out, and either laich or tkachuk or wolski in.

other UFA's are justin williams, eric belanger, vrbata, jussi jokinen, comrie, kotalik, byfuglien, grabovski, jarret stoll, samuelsson, kirk maltby

You're betting all 6 games? Thats kind of tough I wouldn't bet anymore then 3 and even at that I'd rather just pick 2 with a bigger bet.

My pool is like that except we keep 6 players and 2 prospects...and we count G, A, +/-, PPG, PPA, W, L, SO, SHOL, GA, SV, etc. I can't imagine only counting points and wins.
