Does anyone else kinda get the feeling that burrows might indeed turn out to be the sedins permanent line mate and cement his spot this year?

I mean, no one else has really had prolonged success with them and the players who have were never that great players to begin with, when I think about it more and more it just seems like a player who's worked so hard to get where he is is the type of player that could work with the Sedins on a long term basis

buddy speaks truth!

The guy contributes so much to the twins even when he's not on the puck. He may not be a bonafide superstar but I'm surprised that he has the ability to aggro defensemens off of the Sedins.

Something I never really saw in Pyatt.

hotjoint 10-13-2009 10:15 AM

burrows is a perfect fit with the sedins

say what you want about him being made of glass, but in the 50-60 games we have him in the lineup, he's an impact player. much like gaborik.

Salo....Impact player?

And to compare him to Gaborik is insulting...I see where you were going with it, but Gaborik is a gamebreaker, and one of the best wingers in the game (provided he's healthy). Salo is nothing more than a half decent defenceman.

He's no Niedermayer but when Salo is healthy he can be an impact player.

Durrann1984 10-13-2009 11:31 AM

Salo out 4-6 weeks with sprain MCL

411ken 10-13-2009 11:32 AM

For anyone who doesn't want Salo on the team is nuts..... I know he gets injured a lot but he contributes to the team and means alot to this team when he's on the ice.. I want to see him healthy for the playoffs! as I could care less about another NW title..

I guess we'll see how our D turns out without him and schneider* in the lineup.....

Also, I read/heard on SpikeTV that the Canucks fans are #5 worst fans in any sports!! LOL..

Tim Budong 10-13-2009 11:33 AM

:lol

Those are some cheeky goals. I can't imagine anyone would try to pull that in the NHL. Though I wish they would but it would be terribly embarrassing for the Defence and Goalie.

silk 10-13-2009 01:37 PM

^ wtf ??????

AzNightmare 10-13-2009 02:02 PM

lol, didn't Crosby pull this off in his ameuteur league.

It's funny how as soon as the defence realizes what's happening, he puts his stick to block the top corner. The goalie puts his blocker up on top corner. and then he puts it in under the top corner.

pure.life 10-13-2009 02:05 PM

Number 5 in white doesn't know how to play D.
challenge the shooter and this embarrassment wouldn't have had happened.

Ch28 10-13-2009 02:11 PM

Fucking Sami Salo

I said it before and I'll say it again. We should have dealt his injury ridden ass before trade deadline and instead we re-sign mr glass to a multi year deal with NTC

ugh

Harvey Specter 10-13-2009 02:21 PM

Fuck I hate the long gaps between games. I WANT CANUCKS HOCKEY NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hondaracer 10-13-2009 02:32 PM

Yea so stupid having these huge long road trips around the olympics yet they have 1 game in like 12 days?

I think the wings will turn it around eventually.
