For some reason, people think they can tell the securitiy people at GM Place to simply fuck off..lol.

Like this one guy, was fairly drunk and he kept spilling beer everywhere and this chick security guard told him he's cut off from buying more booze. His reply, fuck off bitch.

Will these two guys be banned from Canucks games? I know some EU teams in soccer will ban you for life if you pull shit like this at their games.

Greenstoner 03-25-2010 10:34 PM

lol at the host just let them go for a little bit then stop them

I mean i can back up my shit if i have to

as for that fight, the guy in the Hank jersey just kept on throwing them, yet looked so calm. HAHA so great. These guys will probably be banned for the year, or have their season tickets stripped? who knos that is if the guy in the hank jersey had them in the first place.

i failed you for posting a pic that is older than the internets. lame

i failed 1exotic for saying that drunk moron is some kind of hero to him and for wanting to do the same to a flames fan. i would think the reasons for that fail were pretty obvious

When Brian Burke was GM and Canuck fans use to throw shit on the ice, they had zero tolerance for stuff like that and fights and people would be banned for life. I'm not sure if the stance is the same now. If these guys are season ticket holders than there is a good chance they will have to forfeit their season tickets. If season ticket holders sold them the tickets, they also have a responsibilty in this case, so they could lose the tickets. Ducks fan was from Langley.

If you guys have sat in the upper bowl, and the person in front of you is harsh leaning on the rail in front of them, it can be a bitch to see the game. It says on the rails "Please do not lean forward" So apparently the Ducks fan was leaning on the rail, and the guy above told him to stop leaning on it. The Ducks fan never stopped, at which point a Canucks fan kneed the back of his head. So the Ducks fan threw a punch, and then he got fed punches.
It can be brutal for fans that come to games wearing another teams jersey........we may not be as bad as Philly fans, but damn pretty close.

Greenstoner 03-26-2010 10:03 AM

fuck, i hate people leaning on the rail so bad.........

Tim Budong 03-26-2010 10:36 AM

leaning forward is a nono PERIOD!

MR_BIGGS 03-26-2010 10:41 AM

ya but people do it soooo much at Canucks games. One person leans forward, and it dominoes to the rows behind them.

syee 03-26-2010 10:57 AM

Most of the people I notice that do it aren't the season ticket holders - they're the occasional patrons that come to just one game.

To be fair, I don't think most of them even realize they're doing it and are just leaning forward to get a better view without noticing they're doing it. The hosts (at least the ones in my area) are pretty good about spotting people leaning forward and will come down and tell them to stop it when they see it or during the TV time-outs.

See, the moment the guy kneed the back of his head (if it was intentional) is the moment things started getting out of hand. If the Canucks fan is annoyed that the Ducks fan is leaning forward, contact the usher/host! There's no need to take things into your own hands in this case.

I was at a VAN-ANA game in December, and 4 seats to my right, there was a EI guy who probably had a mental disability. He would randomly yell things out at the players on the ice. It was funny to me and the well dressed woman on my left, but the people beside him were clearly annoyed. One person contacted the usher, and the usher told the unruly guest to be quiet.

It's acceptable to heckle each other in the name of fun, but once it turns violent, then there's something wrong with the two of you... (not you specifically, but you know what I mean!)

AzNightmare 03-26-2010 11:05 AM

Watch the game for entertainment purposes. There's no reason to act like a retard and get kicked out or ruin anyone else that paid money that deserve to be there to watch.

Don't be a dick. Would you start a fight in a theatre just because you didn't like one actor and the guy sitting beside you did?
Or how about a bad movie plot, take it out on the guy beside you?

Expresso 03-26-2010 12:23 PM

Is it me or does David Booth need to keep his head up. Holy another huge hit!

And I totally hate the people that lean over especially when it says on the damn bar not to!

Difference between a sporting event and a movie theater? One serves alcohol.

Agreed, I think most of us have been in that situation before. I guess the biggest difference is most of us wouldn't hit the guy when he won't sit up that's what the ushers are for.

As a dad of a young kid who I'm starting to take to sporting events I can't stand the fights it really ruins the experience for a lot of people. When i was young I used to go watch the CFL all the time with my dad. I pretty much almost never go to Lions games anymore because the amount of drunk morons looking to start fights is just to prevalent. If they didn't serve alcohol I'd go to way more games then again there would probably be a lot more people that wouldn't go, lose lose for the team. I know there are non drinking sections but that's like a band-aid.

AzNightmare 03-26-2010 01:03 PM

Yes, it's quite sad people still find it "cool" to drink past their limit.
When someone starts doing stupid things that would get them into trouble, like picking fights, that's past the limit.

It's sad that I actually find it quite appealing to not go to games live. I would prefer hanging out at a buddy's house with a big HD TV
and watching the game with people I know instead of jackasses that can't control their drinking limit at a live game.

Gh0stRider 03-26-2010 02:06 PM

Howards 21st consecutive start in goal tonite and its his bday!

It all depends on if they're fun drunks or not. Some of the best games I'd been to were in the nosebleeds with people building pyramids with beer glasses. If you aren't drinking at your friend's house for the game either...

If you've never had one too many beers, then you probably aren't much fun.

For me its go all the way or dont do it at all. I had people say to me that i dont enjoy my alcohol cause i drink it way too fast or drink too much of it. I say their not enjoying it as much as i am

The best stories in life always begin with "Last night i got soo shitfaced and........"

And that's unfortunate, when you assume that nothing ever changes and miss out on some great experiences.

You'd be surprised at the amount of people who get evicted per game. Saturday night games are the worst! The most evictions occur during Saturday games or when the Canucks play Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton which is usually Saturday. People simply get way too shit faced. You may notice that these high incident games have beer cutoff earlier than other games.

Ya totally needs to keep his head up. He walked into the one by Spacek.
