In the beginning of the season, this would have seemed ludacris. The way their last two seasons have gone, they have to blow the team up. Iginla deserves a better team where he has players to play with. Sutters have to go. I've heard though, that Sutter the coach deserves one full season with the team so maybe only minor changes will occur. No idea.

I love that LUDACRIS is the way people think LUDICROUS is actually spelled.

Iginla is one of those dudes that even if he plays on another team, I have utmost respect for him. I mean...assist on Canada gold...shaking Trevor's hand when he retired...being an all around badass? What more can you say about that man? Those Flamers have no respect.

you should read more of the thread, there are more flames fans defending iginla than there are against him.

i admit our playoff chances are about at 5%....but i think this is what our franchise needs...maybe what we need is an eye opening depressing season.

i think that this will give us more of a chance to threatening talent to center iggy....the reason iggy hasnt had many chances is because opposing defence doesnt feel threatened by anyone iginla plays with...so they just double team or more iggy. we need a center that can draw equal attention and make a nice pass to a more open iginla...

ya, im sad we probably wont make the playoffs...but i think the sutters will be back next year and darryl at least deserves a full season with the club.

i want kipper to stay, with iggy, regher, and bourque...im torn about hagman and stajan....but i like our core group of guys, and i dont think there is much need for change besides getting a quality center.

Actually, the future was pissed away because Sutter traded away a first rounder for Jokinen. After a season (not even), he was eventually traded away (so Sutter basically just gave up a first rounder along with Lombardi and other players). And to add salt to the wounds, Sutter didn't sign Cammalleri because of Jokinen.

The Flames basically pissed away the core of the team for bandaids that are expiring. All in all, Sutter must of have thought that he was playing NHL10 (and NHL09) making all these ridiculous decisions.
