The ONLY thing I like about the Hawks stadium is how the crowd seems like they don't want to leave and cheered the team until the end and onto the next game... If that was at GM place and we scored the empty net, everyone would be racing out of their seats to leave and have only half the crowd left lol. |

my thought : it was a lost but hopefully that will gives their head a shake to rememeber what happen last year... Series is tie 1-1 now and we got home ice for the next 2 games, which isnt looking too bad. At least we stole 1 game from Chicago and there will be less panic for the fans or the team. With our home records in the reg season, the chance of taking a 3-1 series lead is quite high. Do not forget, we also play better against slighty better team. To be honest, im not too worry abuot them right now, it was a good game last night but they just couldnt handle the pushback from hawks. |
We came out flying then just let up after the 2nd goal.Looks like they just got tired after and chicago was bringing it. Should be an interesting game 3 and 4 here |
Rome wasn't built in one night. I have faith that the Canucks will take it in 7. It is great to see that Luongo is back. |
fuck if i knew there was a game on May/9, i wouldnt told my freind i will be going to a fishing trip... fucking seeing the Orca cracking down hawks is better than me going fishing |
I'm in Vegas for Game 4, anyone know the best place to watch the game? I've heard ESPN Zone is good or Odyssey Venetian, any of you seen a playoff game there?? |

It was a solid game but seriously a few things should happen. Either Rypien or O'Brien should beat the living hell out of the next guy who runs down Luongo. Just make it known that kinda shit doesn't fly. 2 they ALL need to finish their checks. They backed down far too often when they could have done some damage. Kane needs to be run into the boards or just rocked like Mitchell did to Towes. Punish them!!! Posted via RS Mobile |

This is war. There has to be blood and pain dished out. If the opposition is raping your goalie, you need to step up and take care of it. When Rypien bounced off of the Blackhawk player, it was downright embarrassing. The Canucks have to be a lot tougher now that Chicago is back on track. |
Yes to more hitting! I believe that was "Fugly" that Rypien bounced off of. Rypien shouldn't go after him... I think there's like a 60 lbs difference. |

And who knows how heavy is Fugly... I'm just thankful he's all size and no skill. He can be left alone as long as he's not parked in front of Luongo. |

have you watched any of the fights rypien had this season? and if you haven't noticed, the canucks are going for a more disciplined approach to this series. |
man last week i was in Jamaica for games 5 and six in round one we had a sports bar in the hotel and didnt even play hockey games tried to stream and the wifi was so slow that it lagged so much so i just listened to it on team1040.ca hahah i was deprived of hockey all week lol...glad to be back in time for this series.... but as for game 2 round 2 the hawks was the better team....u know going into this series that nthe hawks will not back down all we gotta do is keep pressing on the get shots to the net and get in their goalies face... we have the fire power, we have a good enough defence and we got one of the best goalies never give up we will take this series in 6...mark my words.... oh did ya hear the called up a bunch of players from the moose...maybe we might see shirokov sometime in this series.... |
lol at hockey in Jamaica... Do they even know what hockey is? |
^ they're all about the ice sports! Do I need to remind you of the Jamaican Bobsled Team? :D |

and did you see Rypien just bounce off him? Fighting is one thing. Hitting and knocking over someone is entirely different. You might argue he may have mistimed that hit, but even if so, he probably wouldn't do that much if the weight difference was by that much. Hitting doesn't mean lack of discipline. It means start tightening up and not letting the blackhawks forward so much space. Scare them as soon as they past that blue line with physical presence. I'm not talking about causing pointless scrums after whistles. |
What did most people think before the series started? Get a split in Chicago and they'll be in good shape. I get it they had a 2-0 lead so game two feels like it got away but at the end of the day they're coming home with the split. Now they need to step it up and use line matching to gain the advantage at home. Try and win both at home but at the very least get a split and make it a 3 game series. If they drop the next two at home then it will be time to say the sky is falling but right now it's all par for the course as far as I'm concerned. Go Canucks go!!!!!! |

Our guys were bouncing off the Hawks yesterday and taking it hard to Luongo but they weren't exactly reciprocated. TBH, I was a little miffed when I saw 2 hawks snowshower Luongo simultaneously and all the Canucks did was just back them off after. They didn't really set any deterence that there's a price to pay if you want to crash the net. Had they lost but physically worn down Chicago, I think a lot more people would've left a little more satisfied. |
Well, yeah... there are two ways to look at it... glass half empty or glass half full. They blew a golden opportunity to take a 2-0 series lead, coming back home. While there's no guarantee that they would go on to win the series, the likelihood is magnitudes greater than coming home with the series tied 1-1. Sure, we got the split and have home ice advantage in a best of five series now, but realistically we're probably looking at maybe a 55% chance of winning the series now, whereas if we were up 2-0, the odds of winning are probably like 80%. Huge difference. |
