marc0lishuz is some how under the impression that the BBM isn't an electronic device and therefore not covered, fuck even a Digital camera/video is included in "Electronic Device". |
^ Fail for being unable to detect his sarcasm. |
LOL!! Well technically speaking, BBM does not fall into text/SMS or email, hence my sarcastic remark. I'm sure it wouldn't hold up in court though haha Posted via RS Mobile |
i think you can still use the phone in the parkcade cuz cops won't be camping to ticket you there |

What if you just held you're cell phone on your lap and put it on speaker phone? |

Sorry for bumping a somewhat old thread. I don't think you can even check a text msg at a red light under this law? But what I really wanted to know was that some friends told me you can't even pull over to the side of the road (when it's okay to do so) to check your phone or make a phone call. Is this true? |
i heard N drivers cant have gps, shitty |

Any of you get caught yet? |
http://www.news1130.com/news/local/a...nt-to-consider VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - Just because you have a hands-free kit for your cell phone, does not mean you are safe from a ticket. We're looking at the fine print of the new law. You've got the blue tooth headset, so you think you've got things covered - but you're wrong. You need to make sure it is all set up before you even turn on the ignition, no scrambling once someone calls. If you wear a headset, it can only be in one ear, unless you're on a motorcycle. Think of that phone as a hot potato, no holding it or leaving it in your lap. Find a secure holder instead. To answer the call it has to be voice-activated or one-touch. Thinking of firing off a quick text message or email? Don't. That's against the law. It's not just cell phones affected. No touching that mp3 player or mobile device once the car is running and all music has to play through your speaker system. If you are a new driver or learner, don't bother bringing any electronics into the car at all. |

I'm sure I'll get pulled over sooner then later it's business as usual with the phone. |

My friend got pulled over for talking on his cell phone but got a ticket for something else instead (fail to produce DL) and was told "he was lucky that he didn't get written up for the new law" as well. |
it used to be cops had to have a good reason to pull you over. now it's just, I saw you on the phone. nanny laws, go figure. |

loving the new law, saw a few people get pulled over already, if people arent taking this seriously, they will when they get their ticket and their points on their DL  Cops can hit their quotas so easily now. I bet they could pull over atleast 20 people within an hour. I feel for all the N drivers though because you should be able to use a hands free but I guess this is their way to ensure that by the time you finally get your full license that you've been a safe driver |
this is a stupid law. I still see tons of ppl with their phones on my way to work. No 1 is taking it seriously |
