gnna mount my on with my beater rims... first time driving a mid engine car in the winter..... i hope everything goes well |
So just been looking at tires... and some of them come with odd fluorescent colored markings on the tread? New tires, that is. Specifically, at the bottom of the tread. What's all that about? |
Forecast has changed, going to stay ~+8C and no snow. http://www.theweathernetwork.com/fourteenday/cabc0308 |
^ saw that this morning guess i aint putting my snows on just yet |
Yeeh keeping on the summer rims for two more weeks then lol plus more time to procrastinate and get one of my snowies patched Posted via RS Mobile |
Thank god, just waiting for a nice weekend to wash my summer wheels and take'em off |
god damn it it's all bluff no white bullshit. |
well weather is still going to be cold hopefully have a clear day to clean the summer tires to put away |
I still haven't sourced myself a set of rims for the snowies yet. |

FOOK, i switched to my Winters Today. LAME! I'll take pics of the Awesome Timeattacks I did today :lol. |
For my parents' LOLvo, it's been winter wheel season for a few weeks. All-seasons + Raincouver = Permanent, Unintentional Swedish Initial D. Yeah...something's not right here LOL Mine holds up fine in rain.........so far. |
very verrrrrry not excite about having to put the stockies back up and re-raising but i DO enjoy seeing all the marshmallow-ized effect that snows has on parked cars. |
I tossed my Toyo Observe Garit KX on steel wheels, hopefully they will hold up and perform decent in snow and on ice. |
Might be picking up some brand new hankook 175/65/14 winters from work for cheap and mount them on my stock rims. But it is gonna look hideously thin, especially with the high stock offset. Stock rims look bad enough on my car with 195/60/14s. |
You guys do know that winter tires aren't just for snowy weather right? The rubber compound used to make winter tires stay soft in cold temperatures unlike summer tires which are rock hard and don't grip. Technically you're supposed to switch to winter tires when outside temperatures get down to 7*C. |
rain is so fucking depressing and wouldn't mind some snow, but not like last year!... I'm ALREADY looking forward to Spring/Summer... |
So managed to score some Blizzak LM22 in 215/45R18 off a Mazdaspeed6 owner... $600, pricey but the tires were still pretty new. Am set for winter! |
2:11 AM now. Westwood Plateau got snow. It's melting now so it's turning into slush. |
^ wow so early holly shit |
