yeh, i got them shipped to blaine, and billing address was blaine too. my canadian cc went through fine. (with blaine billing address). anyhow. U Do need a PO box to get mail delivered to Blaine.

saveth 11-12-2009 09:11 PM

TR will call you to confirm if your credit card is legit. After that they will ship it out to you. I ordered my blizzaks over a month ago and if i saw this rebate i would have gotten the michelins instead.

Such a nice day today, debating whether I should swap em on or not; since it's gonna be hovering around 7 the next week or two.

i was comparing the price for the same size all seasons. Mine were cheaper than the cheapest ones on the site (if you take into account shipping costs)

illicitstylz 11-12-2009 10:29 PM

my last pictures before winter mode sets in!

Yah that's what I'm saying; all season price differentials aren't that big buying local vS in the US. It's the specialty winter tires or summer performance tires that make a big diff.

my car might be too low to drive in the snow.
also its rwd and i dont think i want to spend money on tires for 2 weeks.
time to walk to work.

That is not cold. -41C is cold in Feb in Ottawa. I'm still wearing just a hoodie.

ottawa doesnt see the moist cold air we do.

humidity works both ways, in hot environments, it makes it feel hotter.

in cold environments, it makes it feel bone chilling cold.

Ottawa is very humid, its why Ottawa gets so much snow. People that visit Ottawa are always surprised to find this out, they assume a land-locked city wouldn't be so humid.

Walked outside this morning in a light sweater, past a woman in a full down jacket with gloves and toque. Vancouverites are wimps. :)

!SG 11-13-2009 10:16 AM

visit HK! a nice 12-14C day there, and u will see ppl in parka's!

Well, since this thread is turning into "lets see your winter wheels" i'll add mine

Yeah, i've got halos wired with my DRLs

anyway, these used to be my summer wheels but now because of my Evo 8/9 Brembo bbk I have to use them in the winter as well and because they're 18s and I didn't want to spend an arm and two legs for 18 inch winter tires I went with some Dunlop all seasons. Next year i'll be getting some new, lighter 18s for summer w/ my old yokohama summer tires.

roastpuff 11-14-2009 03:38 PM

This is getting ridiculous. I have a total of 28 tires in storage or running around, and there's 16 tires sitting in my garage.

I'm turning into a tire depot! :haha:

http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a8/.../IMAGE_025.jpg

On another note, the Bridgestone WS60's on the CSX are much quieter than the Goodyear RS-A's that came as stock tires, which is faintly amusing and quite indicative of the quality of the RS-A's.

The Civic even comes with Michelin MXV4's as stock, which is a much better tire.

bcrdukes 11-14-2009 05:28 PM

Alrighty. All-seasons are off and the Michelin Xi2s are on and ready to rock this winter! :D

Gh0stRider 11-15-2009 09:23 AM

list of winter tires

godwin 11-15-2009 11:17 AM

Whole bunch of relevant.. Canadian winter tire reviews:

http://www.canadiandriver.com/wintertires

They also have a review of Gislaved Nord Frost 3 which is the General Altimax that CT sells.
