My friend wants to get something local for under 2k full bike (something decent ofcourse)

$2k for a cervelo including a bike fit is a great deal. u also get 1st service or 2nd service free i think.

there are better equipped bikes out there for $2k, but it's hard to say no to a cervelo

Yeah that s2 is a pretty slick deal for a bike of that pedigree brand new off the shop floor with accompanying shop support. It would make a great platform to upgrade on in the future (mainly the wheelset, everything else is quite serviceable)

Hi everyone,
Just put up my 2012 Bianchi Sempre for sale. Full SRAM red. 57 cm frame, but top tube is 56 cm. Set up more for someone in the range of 5'10"-6'2". Rides beautifully. It's a fast cruising bike. Once you're up to 25 km/h, it just wants to keep going. Message me for more details or viewing.

So after much debate and sight unseen, I asked for and received a Giro Atmos for my bday from my parents. I was really excited as the helmet looks awesome, but after trying it on I know it is not going to work on my head (too much pressure on my giant forehead).

Anyone interested in a bnib L Giro Atmos in matte black? I have no idea what my folks paid for it, but they are $170 + tax w/ free shipping at labicicletta.com...I'll ship it to you for a good chunk of change less. PM if interested, I can take actual photos if needed.

I hope that he recovers fully... if at all possible. Still haven't heard much of an update on his condition.

The reverse nose wheelie down the hill is pretty sick.

A little update since my crash...

My black eye is gone, and regained most mobility in my arm/shoulder, neck and back are still stiff. I've got most strength back but certain movements really send sharp pain under my shoulder blade. Still tossing and turning while sleeping to get comfortable.

Off pain meds for a few days now. Should be fully recovered, eventually.

get well soon, have you see Orthopedic physical therapists?

Only for the hardmen / women ;)

Boxing Cross 2013. December 26th. Bicicletta is going to lead a ride starting at 10am at the south end of the Canada line bridge. 80+kms.

There will be gravel. Bring your cross bikes or if you are in true spirit ride your regular bike ;)

Heres the route. I think its rain or shine. I'll be participating.

No physio yet. Seems to be healing at a steady pace, my plan is to just keep doing normal activities. Haven't been on a bike in a few weeks though :okay:

Very tempting!

What kind of pace do you think 20-25km?

604CEFIRO 12-15-2013 01:24 PM

Yea I think it'll be something like that.

That stretch at Iona Beach to the jetty and from Terra Nova to Steveston will definitely be gravel. And it sucks for road bikes. I believe the stretch out to the jetty has a paved section but even then, there are a lot of rocks and loose gravel all over the place. Don't ask how I know. :)

Looks like a good ride, though!

Hey techy guys, what do you guys think of these?

I've read very positive things about Yoeleo carbon wheels.

Considering a set of tubulars in the new year

I'm thinking these: YOELEO SAT U Shape T38-23 Blue Tubular Road Racing Wheelset Yoeleo

38mm deep 23mm wide. cx sapim spokes. 1300gram weight for a set. It has a sealed rim bed and doesn't require rim tape.

You do realize tht they are tubulars right? Ie not clinchers. All tubulars don't use rim tape because the tire needs to be glued to the rim. Good price though. As long as yu know what you're getting into with tubs. Nothing can compre to the ride feel of Tubs, but they are a different animal when it comes to flat repair. And tubular tires are usually more expensive. Ie. $100-130 per tire.

Yes going with tubs because racecar :D
